So, I saw that there's a post semi-organizing things for the people heading off to China, which made me think that it's a good idea for us all to share publicly where we're going, even if it might be a little late by now. That way, people with no particular preferences who haven't left yet can go where they're most needed, and we can make sure that all of the areas are covered.

I'll start: I'm planning on heading to Greece tomorrow, for old times' sake.

I hope everyone who could vote voted today. Even if things have been crazy lately, doing your civic duty is important.

I tried my best - pointing out to those mindless poll workers that six days is not a significant period of time that would effect my ability to properly make a decision about the future of my country - but sadly, the letter of the law beat out logic. Once again.

So sadly, I am reduced to nothing more than watching the idiots at CNN blabber on about how clearly .1% of the votes can be used to predict results and just hoping that everyone else made not-stupid decisions.

It really is stretching my faith in humanity, I'll have you know.

I get it, I get it. The gods make the rules, and we have to follow. Haven't I always been on their side? Haven't I always thought that?

But this....this is too much. You can put me in a backwater time that looks like it came out of one of the old man's fantasies. You can take away my voice in society and my ability to protest.

[The camera is accidentally switched on, when it comes into focus there is an angry red fairy buzzing about, while Helen tries to swat it away with a mosquito-swatting thing. She is not pleased, if anything, she's anything but that. The fairy manages to grab a lock of hair and tug on it hard.

There is that awkward sound of hair being cut, and Helen gives out a squeak before she falls over. This battle is not over, because she manages to swat the red thing before it pulls out another, more significant, lock of hair giving Helen a new unwanted haircut.]
