Found a job as a courier. Pay isn't the best but I'm getting exercise riding a bike everywhere and sometimes I get tipped so that's cool. It's not the most glamorous of jobs, but it covers my portion of the rent and bills with a little extra left over so I can treat my girlfriend to dates when she's available.

Still looking for a second job. If anyone's got any opening let me know.

One of my professors is from Hungary, and today I spoke with him in Hungarian for the first time. I haven't had a chance to speak with him since school started, but today we actually spoke, and he guessed my name right. I guess it's hard when there are so many students.

It's a little awkward going from someplace where I had a job, a girlfriend, family, and a future in place to coming back and realizing that other than the family and girlfriend I've got nothing. I need to find a job, something steady, so that I can afford to live and take my girlfriend out on dates and things. I need to start thinking about my future, and putting things in place so I can have one.

I guess what I'm saying is I need to grow up. First things first, is anyone hiring? I've got a unique skill-set that I'd love to put to use.

[Every penstroke of the letter pained her physically. Somehow, Hebe held in tears for as long as possible, but a few tears escaped toward the end, splattering on the paper. Pondering if it was best to burn it and rewrite it, she worried her lip to the point that it bled. She felt like the worst person in the world, just the worst. Was someone's love really worth abandoning her family, if only for a little while, to be happy?

You're so selfish she chided herself angrily, pausing with the letter before a lit candle. But rather than burning it, Hebe set to folding it up in a nice envelope. The letter would find itself on the kitchen table later on, but before venturing downstairs, she snuck as quietly as possible into her brother's room to kiss them goodbye. Neither stirred, thankfully, and so on quiet feet, she left. With the kitten stowed away in her handbag, she bid her house farewell and disappeared into the night for Raven's house.

[ War was something interesting to Percival. It wasn't the battle he feared, not when he believed in his own strength and knew he'd taken lives before -- rather, it was the prospect of the war taking so long, he wouldn't be able to see his brothers or attend their weddings. Maybe if his brothers hadn't existed, going to war might've been less difficult, but they did, and this was his duty. He wouldn't give it up, not for his own selfishness.

Asking Daphne to station him away from the front lines and being approved of it had been a blessing. He owed it to his brothers not to die that fast, and though Daphne had been spared that information, he understood she trusted him. That was enough. The expedition into Camelot had gone well in the first two days. It was on the third day that Iriy caught on with open fire.

Daph Marshal, we're in a bit of trouble. We got into Camelot, and they've got no one stationed along the border so getting in wasn't a problem -- but Iriy caught us. We're waiting them out, but I lost about two dozen men. We took out as many as we could, though if they haven't reported us in by now, I'd be really surprised.

I wanted to say this earlier, but my excitement got in the way, I think. I got into NYU about a month ago.

Right. Since I know it's going to come up, I'd just like to make it clear that just because I have red hair, freckles, and am most definitely a soulless ginger this does not mean that I'm Irish. My fondness for the color green is because it compliments my pasty skin tone, much like the black people see me wearing a lot.

This doesn't mean that I don't love Saint Patrick's Day, just that my reasons have less to do with my ethnicity than it does with how absolutely hysterical drunk people can be.

[It was about seven o'clock when Hebe woke from sleep disoriented. The alarm clock blaring at her side was to remind her school was in two hours, which was a bizarre realization considering how it was her first time seeing an alarm clock in months. Or so she'd assumed. Everything started flowing back, like how she had a test that morning, how she was invited to lunch with a boy (needed to cancel). Normal, daily things.

Following school, she crawled onto her laptop for a few tentative messages.]

That was the first through that ran through Raven's mind when he saw what could only be Hebe's blood spilled, and the message he was certain she meant for him alone to see. He had been sloppy in his response to her but he didn't care -- she was hurt, and he would get to her come Hell or high water. Hitching the horses to the cart, he didn't even bother to give his parents any sort of an explanation as he gathered up his meager earnings and got on his way.

He knew Ilium was far from Mictlan, but he would ride all day and night if it would get him closer to making sure his Hebe was alright.]

[It had come so suddenly. One moment Hebe's hand had been hovered over the journal, ready to write in an entry to Raven regarding the beautiful letter he'd written her (her own tears had stained the paper), and then next diving beneath the bed with her hands clasped over her mouth. Multiple hands slammed on the door, desperate to break in, and within moments, someone dragged her from beneath.

Only pain and cold had registered after.

[Sometimes she wishes she had the tolerance to go travel across the regions and see Baldr, Nanna and little Killian. Though Mictlan was a lovely place, she was the worst among her family when it came to having seen the world. But she dreaded the cold, even feared it. Simply to think about it soured her mood. But if not Glastheim, then Svarga! Or Ilium. Even nearby Camlann.

Yet no opportunities came. No chances, no way for her to do it on her own. Never would she pester Hermes or Baldr about this. It wasn't easy to go up to either and announce she felt very sheltered and unworldly. What could they do aside from offer to take her somewhere or send her off with someone?
