You know, I've always wanted to travel to an exotic location and destroy something of value, so I guess the only real question is who wants to come with me? We can make it a vacation -- get in some sightseeing, kill a few crazy locals, sample the food -- and even better I'll spring for the tickets. This is a one-time offer, loves, so act fast.

Have shotgun, will travel.

Honestly though, it's not as difficult to stay safe as some of you are making it out to be, it just involves common sense. [...] Nevermind, perhaps that is difficult for some of you. Regardless, if anyone needs assistance, do let me know. It feels good to put my old military training to use again.

She'd wished, in the end, Gwynevere had been in the asylum. Her brother was no fucking saint. The man deserve to burn for half the things he'd done. But she'd never precisely taken to Gwynevere for committing a sin that she herself had. But she had paid a more heavy price for all her sins. Gwynevere got to run off and live the rest of her days trying to repent.

It didn't seem quite as fair to Morgause. No, she wanted her sister-in-law, her fellow sinner, to suffer more. Lose her mind, maybe a limb - oh why not, maybe her precious little head. She knew she'd pay to see it tumbled down some steps, long hair winding around it and growing sticky from the blood.

Loathing so rarely went down easily.

You'd think, after everything we've dealt with of late, that a small, winged, flying creature wouldn't be something problematic, but I believe I've gotten an idea of how things work around here. That being said, my 'friend' is making himself difficult to ignore.

I've tried everything -- setting out puzzles in an effort to distract him, following the guidelines regarding fairies in books, and even pretending the little wretch doesn't exist -- but all for naught. He's a persistent little thing, and seems fond of distracting me at the most inconvenient of times. It's getting tougher to act as though he's not bothering me, especially in public places.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm sick of this pint-sized menace dumping ashes onto my morning omelet in an effort to get my attention.

[ This fairy shit was seriously getting on his nerves. The first day had been so far from tolerable after he nearly squashed the thing with his hand, which only served to piss it off. It'd disappeared for hours, and for a time, Agravaine had figured he'd scared the little buzzing fucker off. Pheme's was still around, but it didn't pay much mind to him.

On the drive to the grocery store, he'd found it-- in his car. It'd probably followed him in, but he hadn't thought to fairy-proof his car before leaving. It was a bright red this time, and before he could stop it, the little pest flew at the pedals, propelling him forward while traffic on his end was stopped. The oncoming taxi slammed into his side of the car, shoving him across the road and into the nearest utility pole.

Fuck.

The hour was late yet she felt alert enough to handle some work that her brother-in-law had passed over to her. Though well-provided for, Morgause still liked the feeling of being useful and being able to contribute. When it mattered it kept her mind busy, away from thoughts of Arthur who had not shown and of his wife that she felt should show so she could strangle that regal, adulterous neck. And she wasn't above slapping Arthur on the back of the head for his absolute blindness when it came to his marriage. Camelot was important but really now.

Morgause knew that she was being a hypocrite with her sister-in-law considering just how Mordred came to be. Her feelings for Lot were very personal, bouncing sharply from high and low. She wouldn't unravel him before her children (yes, Mordred included), she wasn't that sort of woman but she knew he had not been a flawless man. Yet a small part of her even knew that he didn't deserve the blame for her actions. Only she could carry the fault for having had a brief affair that had horrified her much later when certain details came to light. Such fools they all were, the former queen thought, her pen having not have moved for a good few minutes.

Sending her mistress felt some form of sadness, Valentina, with all the grace she could muster, would offer a very wet but affection-filled lick along the length of Morgause's forearm. An action good enough to jar her from her thoughts and resume her work, deciding the past should only be a problem should someone show.

[ Not for the first time in the weeks since returning from Zurvan, Igraine wondered if ignorance, in the end, was for the best. If it really was bliss. How might have things turned out, had she not remembered herself as Igraine, and learned her brother was Merlin? Would she have been happier not knowing? Without a doubt. Knowledge was power, but it was also pain.

And now, he wanted to continue calling her 'sis'. He was a troll to the very core, so was he just playing her, making her angry on purpose? She didn't know fury as others did, but the irritation bubbled up inside of her, desperate to be released. It didn't help that he was Theseus' son. He would remain in her life as her former step-son, the half-brother to her little girl. Ignoring him was not the way out.

But what was?

I guess. It's back to normal on this side. Everyone okay, no harm done, nothing to deal with?

And while we're on the questions who doesn't mind for me to stick around for a whole afternoon? I might need someone to help me figure out something. Nothing. Ah, I might need either ice cream or alcohol. Both? Mixed.

It was so very annoying when children couldn't get along.

Such a feeling would be later expressed when she knew what Medb and Galahad were up to, her sympathy strongly going toward her niece Gwynevere then, but this such feeling rose up as she witnessed one of her acquaintances children bickering in not-so-hushed tones in one hall of her home.

She had resorted to clearly her throat and found, to her displeasure, that they couldn't even muster up the shame to look horrified at being caught. What was with young people? What had happened to any sense of propriety? She had seen cats behave with more embarrassment when caught doing something wrong. Removing those thoughts from herself for the moment, she coolly ordered them to take their problems outside of her home, which they did with minimal complaint.

At least her family knew how to behave in any circumstance. Perhaps it was all about blood. Even if one of her sons nibbled on people.

[She'd moved on from Rome. Her children alive and well was all that mattered in the end and she could forget what happened, that Merlin had been her child. What an offense thing to do, to relate her to that monster. No matter how he manipulated and wove his little spells, he was nothing more than a nasty man.

Sophie had been given her evening bath and had been sent off to bed before Morgause tended to herself with a long cool shower. Flipping wet hair over one shoulder, she sat down at her computer, nails lightly clicking against the surface. There was someone she wanted to speak with but how to open to him the right way was eluding her.

Finally, she decided to just do it.

Sure, it had happened before, people coming back from the dead. But not him. Apparently, it'd been his turn.

The hospital felt sterile as fuck, and smelled just the same. He could feel bandages adorning his body, but he didn't need to feel for what had killed him. He already knew his brother had dealt him the damage, though he didn't hold it against Gawain. It hadn't been up to them. The only person to blame was that fucking Khaos bitch.

Two dead sons. He had told her - promised her - that she wouldn't lose Agravaine. That he would do more than his best to save himself.

It wasn't entirely rational to blame him considering the circumstances but Morgause felt far from rational as she grieved for her eldest two. She had stolen away somewhere where that bastard Merlin couldn't be found, couldn't trip across her as she mourned her losses. God wouldn't be able to help him if he uttered the wrong word. She would gladly pay every price there was to bring him down for any slight or slur against her sons.

But, for now, she allowed her face to grow damp from weeping, refusing the idea of comfort. She would not have it, not until she saw her children again. That included Mordred who lived and would have to be seen soon.

Only after she composed herself. God forbid even her youngest see her a wreck. No one, not even her mother or beloved sister, could see her this way.

[ this wasn't the wife he remembered. That one he had taken in his king's name, given her choice and received a companion in return. That wife, he respected. This one was slowly but steadily keeping him away from home. He didn't want to pretend to be married, didn't want to play along with those people's illusions all over again. And more than anything, he wouldn't betray his present.

But he couldn't deny. To have his brothers nearby; younger, happier, carrying no hatred nor disgust, reminded him of happier times. Unlike his wife, he welcomed these illusions, spending time with both parents and siblings as if the world outside was Camelot.]

I feel tired.

When it comes to odd events, I prefer this one. Less violent.

It wasn't motherly love that saved the false!Gaheris from behind torn apart by her false versions of her sons. He remained in her home, calling out to her, demanding from her an acceptance of his forgiveness. The first hours, she enjoyed it. The next day she allowed it but the one after that she found herself worn, nerves frayed.

And no matter what she said, he wouldn't stop. So she had him gagged and bound, pushed somewhere where she could hear him kicking, trying to get out to get to her. How she imagined the real one would do the same but with different intentions.

She did not end him because she didn't know what the result of that would be. No matter what she wanted, she did not want to destroy her mortal daughter's life with selfish decision. Others could judge her for it, say it was her selfish decision that led to the loss of her head but Morgause was a woman with much pride and haughtiness to believe her affair was something offensive. Four out of five didn't react badly so it couldn't have been.

Morgause didn't wonder where Lamorak was in all this. It was probably better he hadn't come along anyway, false or not.
