TIME UPDATE

Day 22.

Weather: It's a very humid 80 degrees during daylight hours, and dipping down to low 70s/high 60s during the night No, seriously.

Events: Absolutely nobody wakes up where they last fell asleep. Everyone will find themselves in a new room, decorated lavishly in 19th century antiques. Styles are primarily a mix of French and Colonial (see examples behind the cut). Every room has its own bathroom, again, very old-fashioned, although luxurious. Clawfoot tubs and pedestal sinks. There are no computers in any bedroom, though every member of the experiment now has a phone. All phones are incapable of calling out or connecting to the Internet, but are connected to the Mount Zenith network. There are no messages from the scientists, no explanation whatsoever.

There is no air conditioning, but it is not unbearably hot. There is a very pleasant breeze, and all windows are open, curtains drifting softly in the air. Subjects will find clothing in their rooms, suitable to the climate, and from their own closets whenever possible. Exploration of the house will show that the rest of the house is made up in much the same way. Construction appears old, though perhaps updated at some point to convert a mansion into a hotel. There are two floors to the house (floorplans behind the cut). The second floor's large hall doubles as a sitting/music room. The ground level features a kitchen, dining room, and sitting room. Through-out all the public rooms are what appear to be new additions to the decor - Mardi Gras decorations, to be precise. Lots of purple, green, and gold accents, as well as many different carnivale masks lining the walls, and random strings of beads to be found.

The best part of the house - which, it can be deduced once one goes outside, certainly appears to be a former plantation house - would easily be the grounds. The house is located in more or less the middle of 15 acres, surrounded on all sides by a 20-foot tall wrought-iron fence. There are many tall and very old trees, and a massive pool behind the house. The house is also very close to a very large river, though the river is some 50 feet on the other side of the fence. No other houses or signs of life can be seen past the fence - though once outside there are very faint sounds of jazz music that may be coming from somewhere down the river.

FYI, the pain barrier is in full effect here, and will hit once a person reaches the 15-foot point of the fence. If anyone should happen to somehow get over it anyway, they will immediately lose consciousness and remain that way for the rest of the game day.

Finally, a few minor updates to the subjects: Ettie has not been relocated to the new house, and Vanessa has a very sore throat, not to mention very little voice.
