Who: Lucy and Open (Literally anyone and everyone can come!)
When: Around 3 pm
Where: The pool at the backside of the house
Waking up in a new room had been a little terrifying if Lucy were honest. She panicked, she realized, because she was more afraid that she would not be with Marco or Edwin or Pam or Audrey or Olive or Jerome than anything else. It wasn’t that she liked being kidnapped, but at least she had formed a bit of an attachment with her fellow residents and she was terrified that they might be gone and that she might be alone again.
It was that fear though, that had propelled her out of her room by herself, to see where they had wound up, only relaxing when she saw familiar faces in the hall. It wasn’t until after that she’d gone up to her room and found the cell phone that had been waiting for her all morning, or the fact that there was a view of a lovely pool from her window.
Maybe they were right. Maybe she needed to do better, be better, about the problem with Joe (even though seeing him in the house still made her uneasy). It didn’t take her long to think of a pool party as a show of good faith. Everyone had been talking about doing things to bring everyone together, so why not this?
She moved to her closet, only then to realize that her wardrobe had somehow added a lot more shorts and light shirts to the roster than she had during Mount Zenith’s thick snowy days. This was more like the clothing she wore in Texas, where winter was only a month long season that typically didn’t include snow.
She found a solid black one piece bathing suit, but threw on a tank top and shorts over it so that she could make some quick food to take to the pool with her. Making her way down to the kitchen, she’d found all the things you would need for sandwiches, which was easy enough, and a few bags of chips before popping onto the network to let people know of her plan.
She made several combinations of sandwiches, hoping that everyone will find something they liked before putting them on a cookie sheet to act like a tray. She grabbed several bags of chips and stacked them all on the counter, taking a small break to run a few to the sick new girl.
Lucy honestly felt bad for the girl, she had been scared too, and it wouldn’t hurt to show her an act of kindness, especially since she wasn’t feeling well. She’d make a mental not to ask around for medicine later.
With her makeshift tray of sandwiches, and several bags of chips, Lucy moved to the pool, almost instantly cheering up as the sun hit her skin. She placed the tray on a table, alongside the chips, and pulled the top one to chew on it for a few moments, just enjoying the breeze and the soft music.
