Weather: Cold but clear, no changes.

Events: No airhorns or obstacle courses today. Well, not physical ones.

Let's mix some old with the new, shall we? Everyone wakes up in their room. Old, predictable, probably getting more than a little tedious. But now, here's something we hope you really enjoy.

Everyone begins to wake up around eight AM, computer alert lights flashing. Everyone except Marco's computer, that is. Everyone but Marco has a message waiting for them from TPTB.

"Greetings.

We have temporarily marked one of your own, but the question is, do you claim him as your own? Have you, as a group, found yourselves united by circumstance, allies against a common foe, willing to uphold a silent concord in the tragedy you see yourselves in? Let's find out.

Marco has been temporarily but physically marked. If you, as a group, agree to pretend not to see it, then tomorrow we will grant you a rare opportunity: one that no one else in this experiment has ever had before. You will vote on the one question you wish us to answer. We will answer it honestly. This act will cause Marco, who already doubts his own sanity, great anxiety and alarm, but tomorrow we will inform him of the agreement and perhaps he will understand. He may curse you for your cruelty, or thank you for the knowledge you'll be able to share. As a subject from the very beginning of our experiment, he surely craves answers above nearly all else.

If one person does not play along, the deal is off, and it is off the table. Discuss it amongst yourselves before you decide. Your bathrooms are unlocked, but you may not leave your rooms for the next hour."

Oh. Oh. Okay. So what is this mysterious mark they speak of?

Marco will wake up at around 9 AM with an elaborate tattoo wrapping around his neck and throat. It is of an octopus strangling him.

The good news is it's only henna. The weird news is it looks at least a day or two old. So, make of that what you will.

It's worth noting, regardless of anyone's intentions, any network discussion of this issue before 9 AM is automatically screened from Marco.
