Day 9.

Weather: Though there are still some rather huge snow drifts, the roads have all been cleared and salted.

Events: In the course of the night, three things quietly happen. People are not made to sleep, nor are they moved. Which makes item #1 on our list perhaps particularly unsettling for the new class of recruits.

First, Sammy's room is emptied. She is gone.

Second, at any point after midnight, the 'original' subjects gain viewing access to the network discussion about whether or not to screw Marco over, pretending not to see the 'mark.'

Third, Tobias will wake up in the jail cell at the Mount Zenith Police Department. Yes, he is locked in. No, absolutely nobody is informed he's down there. Tobias himself is given absolutely no explanation. He's wearing whatever he was last. In the cell with him is a toilet and sink. He also has his phone - but he only has viewing access of the new network. He can't post, nor can he see the 'old' network. At 6 AM, noon, and 6 PM, an invisible hatch opens in the wall and provides simple meals. The keys to the cell are on the wall, a good thirty feet away from his cell. Have fun with that.
