Day 18.

Weather: It's still snowing in the morning, but it stops around noon, turning into a beautiful, clear, chilly afternoon.

Events: There's nothing specific that's going to wake anyone up at a certain time today, and most people are going to be grateful for the extra time to sleep in, because so many people are going to feel lousy today. Basically everyone is showing symptoms of some minor, but still inconvenient, cold or flu. At least two of the following symptoms are experienced: low-grade fever, chills, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, sneezing, congestion, headaches, or fatigue. An unlucky few may even have several of these going on.

The only people who don't seem to be sick are Ivy, Ettie, and Lucy. Not only are they not sick, but each of them have been publicly gifted rewards. At least for today, a new channel has appeared on the house TVs that's playing some really sweet, pleasant home movies from each of their childhoods on a loop. It'll be the first thing that comes up on any TV when it's turned on, though it's easy enough to get back to the DVD player menu, for anyone who spends their sick days watching movies.

There's no mention of why they got rewarded when everyone else got sick. Maybe everyone missed something...

The good news is that the kitchen has been stocked with extra cans of Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup.
