Hurricane Party!
Who: Ginny and the other residents of the resort
What: Hurricane Party!
When: Day 10, around 7 PM.
Where: The White Sands Resort Bar and Club
Rating: PG? I don't know what crazy shenanigans are going to occur.
Status: In progress.

Ginny hated being stuck indoors.

She almost literally been trying to climb the walls in her frustration when she'd decided to throw a hurricane party. She hadn't met many of the residents, and figured if there was anyone else as irritated at being stuck inside then they'd appreciate the change of scenery. It'd also give people a chance to mingle and meet. She wondered if there were others from her world here besides Tonks.

The planet had been most accomodating to her ideas. The club was currently themed for a luau, and small lanterns shed a soft glow over numerous smaller groupings of tables as well as over the dance floor and bar. She hadn't been sure what the other residents might eat, so she'd asked for a large selection of snacks. The bar was well-stocked as well. She didn't recognize all of the things stocked, but she did notice a bottle of Firewhiskey and what appeared to be butterbeer.

Now all this party needed was people. Maybe she'd get to see Max again.

Giselle had spent a wonderful afternoon with Mamoru and learned several new games. She was very pleased with the way the afternoon had gone. It was stimulating and exciting. All in all, when she went back to her room, she was grinning.

She changed her dress and had her hair put up for the party. She was even more excited about the party than she was about learning new games and she was fairly wriggling. She put on a bright indigo gown with matching slippers and stepped out of her room to head for the bar.

She was maybe a little early, but she was too excited to wait any longer. She stepped through the door and looked around, unsurprised that the only person there was a young red head. Red head! Like herself! She was a little younger than herself maybe, but not by much.

She took in the rest of the scenery, the music, the food and drinks. She tapped her foot where she stood, then headed over to the bar. She slipped up on a stool and smiled brightly as a golem headed her way.

Cassie was no stranger to parties, so when she'd heard about the hurricane party that night it had sounded absolutely perfect. Finally, something that would make her feel at home; she'd started to worry that she was surrounded by a bunch of boring old farts and she'd have to dance about in the club on her own! But it seemed that even on another planet people didn't lose their ability to throw a party; if it was good, then perhaps she'd be happier in her new home that she'd ever been in Bristol. Now, if only the planet would kidnap Sid for her, she'd be in heaven.

She headed to the bar wearing a shimmering gold dress with black footless tights, gold ballet shoes and an 80s style suit jacket, embossed with a variety of retro badges. Her enthusiasm meant that she'd arrived early, btu that didn't really matter to her. She'd never been to a luau before (in fact, she'd only just learned what a luau was on entering the room) and she planned on experiencing it to the fullest.

She made a bee-line for the bar, leaning against it and giving the woman next to her a big smile. "Wow! This is going to be so much fun!" she gushed, barely able to contain her excitement. "Vodka please, just with water and lime, thanks!" she told the golem behind the bar. She was worried enough by the calories in the vodka without adding a mixer to the situation. Well, she'd probably just end up throwing up later, so she didn't suppose it mattered much. Did calories even count on this planet? Who knew.

Giselle looked up as other patrons began to arrive. At last. A golden girl walked toward her and Giselle admired the dress. It looked fantastic on the girl. She grinned as said girl leaned against the bar next to her and smiled. She nodded enthusiastically at the comment. "I think it's lovely!" She gushed as well.

She heard the girl's order and watched the golem prepare it. She wasn't all that familiar with alcoholic drinks, and the one in front of her was only a Shirley Temple. She hadn't been in New York long enough to find out what alcohol did to people. So she was sure in for a shock.

She turned to the blond girl and spoke. "I'm Giselle! What's your name?" Her blue eyes were wide, happy to be meeting new people and experiencing a party for the first time in this strange new land.

Bones was an unwilling attendee to the party. Booth had basically had to drag her here. He wanted answers, but she didn't want to talk to a bunch of delusional crazies. "Booth! I don't want to go!" She'd bemoaned petulantly. And he'd done his Booth thing and convinced her.

So, here she was, entering the bar that had been converted to some psychedelic tiki room. She crossed her arms as she walked behind him, for once. She was pouting, and it didn't become her at all. And she desperately hoped she wasn't going to run into Ace. That was something she did not want to explain to Booth. He would never get it.

She wasn't exactly dressed for a party, but she was rebelling in every way she could. She wore a tailored pair of black slacks that flared at the ankles over black boots. Her top was a deep red, with a ruffle at the neck and cap sleeves. Her hair was down, curled at the ends. She looked like she was ready to go to work, not go to a luau.

First complete day in this new place and he was attending a party. Who knew? He looked forward meeting the rest of the people around here, he had to see how 'crazy' they were for himself, despite the constant disagreeing of his partner. "Come on Bones, I promise this will be fun, or at least anthropologically interesting," he added trying to persuade her into the party. "We have to go in order to meet new people and find a way out of here remember?" wincing at her.

This wasn't like her, and he knew it. Last time they tried to go to a party they ended up eating at the diner dressed as Wonder Woman and Super Squint, this time would go differently. He had a nice pair of deep blue jeans and a shirt with the first buttons loosened. Every once in a while he looked behind him to be sure she still was there and not running away, and when they made it to the club he installed his charm smile on his face instinctively. Few people had arrived, so he opted for the sits in the bar.

The Doctor was somehow convinced that going to the party would be ideal opportunity to start questioning people about their abduction and figure a way that they could join together to fight back against the planet. Or rather, that had been his general plan before Rose had suggested they pre-gamed using the apparently endless mini-bar while getting ready.

The Doctor had initially dressed in his usual suit, but after jokingly suggesting that Rose dressed in a grass skirt and coconut bra, he had somehow found himself wearing the aforementioned bra over his shirt, with the extra addition of a lei round his neck.

"Rose, Rose... do you wanna know a secret?" he asked as the approached the bar, arms linked together more to keep themselves steady than out of affection at this point. "I think I might be drunk!" he finished, although it really should have been obvious to anyone.

He laughed, pushing the door to the bar open and giving the gathered partiers a wave. "Aloha!" he called, before bursting into fits of laughter again. Really, endlessly stocked mini-bars had to be a health and safety risk.

Rose was giggling as they entered the bar, her grass skirt swishing around her jeans as she leaned against him. "Drunk?" she asked, looking up at him with wide eyes. "You know. I thought so!"

She laughed again as he greeted the others and she waved as well. "You know, Doctor? I think I might be, too." But hey, at least they had been having fun! "Wanna get another something to drink?"

Elminster had been a bit of a recluse over the past few days. He had spent most of the past couple of days in his room doing magical research. At least that had been what he told himself. In reality, for the first time in years, he had been afraid to leave his room, worrying he had overstepped his bounds with his encounter with Tonks. That and the hurricane. He had taken to seeing how far he could teleport around the Planet, and discovered that the desert which surrounded them was disquietingly large. He had finally decided that it was time, and had seen people flocking to the bar, so he joined in.

Now he was seated at the bar, sipping a glass of mead. He nodded to those guests he recognized and generally mingled, admiring the multi-colored decoration and trying his hand at playing magically with his surroundings. So far he had enchanted one of the lanterns to float around over his left shoulder. He hoped that he might get to know some of his fellow resort dwellers better. For now though, he sat sipping his drink, and creating small amounts of fireworks with his magic, smiling at the surprised reactions of guests nearby.

Rogue wasn't much for parties and usually she avoided crowds like the plague but hearing rumors about a hurricane party spiked her interest. She had heard about them before of course, being from down south but anytime she had been invited to one Irene had discouraged it. Now that she was on her own and trapped on a planet full of strangers, Rogue figured it couldn't really hurt. If anything, she'd at least get an idea of what kind of people she was stuck with. The teenager dressed carefully that evening, picking out a long black skirt, a corset like tank top, a scraf, boots and long gloves to keep most her body covered. As long as no one touched her shoulders Rogue would be fine.

She entered the club, feeling a little out of place since she was technically too young to be in bar but it looked pretty cool. With tropical themed decorations and lanterns scattered about it had a very warm, serene feel to it for Rogue. A welcomed change to the storm raging outside. Rogue glanced around at the crowd of people, keeping an eye for any familiar faces but saw none. With a resigned shrug of her shoulders, Rogue made her way over to the bar where an older man was sitting. At first he kind of reminded her of Magneto but that didn't stop her from saying, "Hello", as she sat down.

After a day of working out with Faith, Gabrielle headed back to her room; hoping Xena would be there. She had caught word of a party and wanted to go though she was going to have to convince her warrior to come with her, that might prove to be difficult. She wasn’t sure. The bard showered and changed into something a bit more for the occasion then waited for Xena to come in.

She got up when she did, going over to greet her with a kiss, having missed her all day. It was rare when they were apart. “Xena, there’s a party tonight and I think we should go.” She said, smirking, flashing her a smile, knowing that Xena wasn’t exactly the party person nor did she socialize much but Gabrielle wanted to change that. They barely knew anyone as it was.

“Please, can we go?” She asked, curiously, leaning up to give her another kiss on the lips. “It’ll be fun.” She added, awaiting her response.

She'd spent the day training Katara again. She wondered if she ought to ask Gabrielle to join her for the next training session. She knew the bowstaff better than herself, and could probably teach it much better than she could.

When she came back to their room and was greeted by Gabrielle's kiss she smiled, her hands gripping her upper arms and holding her back a little. "A party?" That sounded like about as much fun as sticking red hot pokers beneath her fingernails. She sighed softly. Gabrielle knew damn well that she had a hard time resisting her when she asked that way.

She returned the kiss once more and shook her head. "Fine, alright. We can go." If Xena started a barfight, she was just going to blame it on Gabrielle for dragging her to a social event. "Let me shower and dress." She smirked after kissing Gabrielle's forehead and heading for the bathroom. Showering quickly, she dressed in the blue Indian outfit with the gold accents.

She never went to parties unless there was an underlying reason. Like she was trying to get information out of someone, or she was impersonating someone for the sake of thwarting a murder. Going for purely social reasons was beyond her. It all seemed so fake. But if Gabrielle wanted to go, she could hardly deny it to her. There wasn't anything else to do anyway.

Stepping out of the bathroom in her outfit she held her hands out. "Am I presentable enough?" She went to the door and led them out and down to the bar. She'd never seen it look quite that way. Holding the door for Gabrielle, they entered and looked around. It was all Xena could do to suppress a groan.

Kadaj had spent only his second day on Mirage exploring the resort. He began in the area nearest the F-building that housed his room. Not long after he started walking the halls, going past the entertainment room, home theatre, a training room and a fitness center, and then finding the doorway which had brought him into this place from the courtyard with the tablet, he wondered why he hadn't met anyone else. He remembered Anakin's comments about being able to find people in the restuarant, so he turned in that direction.

This was when he heard voices and a laugh. If he wasn't mistaken, the sound came from closer than the restaurant but walls blocked his view. He followed the laughter to a door. More sounds of activity came from inside the room: numerous voices and some kind of odd music.

Kadaj walked in alertly, gloved hand holding the hilt of his sword. He was dressed exactly the way he had arrived, all in black leather, except for no longer being drenched from the ongoing storm. Moving along the wall to one side so no one could sneak up behind him, he observed the large room and its occupants before deciding if he should approach anyone. His brothers definitely weren't there and neither did he see Anakin or Ayla.

The people didn't seem impressive, except for one older man who was performing magic antics. He might be the one to speak with. Kadaj began moving around the room and on his way, he paid attention to food placed on a long table. He stopped in front of a dish, picking it up so he could sniff its contents.

Katara had seen the notice for the Hurricane Party after training when she’d stopped to get some food. Training, combined with small amounts of sleep, had made her quite hungry. It was announced that it would be held around seven o’clock in the evening in the bar area. It was going to be a Luau hosted by Ginevra Weasley with a picture of a young woman who might have been her age. The waterbender hardly knew anyone in this place, least of all Ginevra Weasley, so she decided that she should go, she simply wouldn’t stay too long. Sleep was a necessity after all.

The Water Tribe femme had eaten her dinner, and she wanted to bathe and change into something more festive. She had no idea what a Luau even was, but it was a party, and she didn’t want to wear her usual attire. From the decorations on the notice, it didn’t appear to be a formal party, so she would dress causally but nicely.

Katara donned a blood-red halter top that V’ed at the bottom hem in the front, revealing her midsection quite nicely. Just beneath her breasts on the top was an embroidered golden bead design. The trim was a much darker red, the same shade as the sarong skirt she wore that tied in the front. Redish brown sandals with gold accents were placed upon her feet, and a gold chain decorated her right ankle. Two gold bands were placed around her upper arms, and two red fabric bracelets adorned her wrists. A red and gold choker replaced her mother’s necklace- though she spent quite a while trying to decide whether or not to wear the blue necklace despite it’s lacking coordination. Finally, she piled half of her hair upon her head in a top-knot of sorts, keeping it in place with a hairpiece that was decorated with a golden flame. She made sure to grab at least a small, unobtrusive water skin, just as a precaution.

When she entered the bar area, she felt a small amount of disappointment set inside her. There were only a dozen people, three of whom she’d met previously, and one who she remembered from the notice. Oh well, eight new people were better than none. The music sounded strange to her ears, but she found she quite liked it. The atmosphere was happy and relaxed. The decorations reminded her of something she would have seen at an Ember Island party in the Fire Nation, except there was a lot more colour to them.

A smile slipped over her face upon seeing an elderly man cause a lantern to float about, and she found herself wondering if he was airbending to make it do that. Then she was reminded of the display of waterbending at the feast Chief Arnook held for Aang, Katara, and Sokka when they visited the North Pole for the first time. It had been beautiful, and Katara wondered if she could give the others a similar display. It had been beautiful, especially if she could get water of varying colours. That all depended on how things went. She’d never performed in front of people on purpose before. The thought of everyone watching her made her shiver a little, but if she did decide to go through with it, it would be an interesting experience.

Katara looked around and spotted a table filled with foods she had never seen before, but they didn’t look half bad. A man was standing in front of it, sniffing something from a plate. Curious about both him and the food, she approached. “Do you know what any of this stuff is?” She asked, indicating the snacks.

Well after the party's beginning - around 8:30PM - a dark man in a black suit with a black fedora hat shadowing his eyes appeared at the door. He stood there for a short while with his hands in his pockets looking at the room filled with people and cheery decorations. Jigen had expected to see a peaceful bar where he could spend another quiet evening with a glass of scotch.

Looks like peace and quiet were the two things he would not get tonight. Jigen took a few slow steps inside brushing his black beard that followed his jawline and wondered where he could settle.

Sonya wasn’t what you’d call a party girl. She enjoyed having a good time as much as the next person but outside of hanging out with soldiers from her unit, she rarely ever went to bars or parties. So finding herself standing outside the bar, about to enter a hurricane party was really strange. I’d rather be jumping out of a B52 right now, Sonya silently groaned as she spied the people in the club but she couldn’t just go back to her room now, it was too good of an opportunity to check out the residents of Mirage.

The statuesque blond had dressed up for the occasion, donning a simple black pencil skirt, white shirt and black heels, nothing fancy or revealing but it was a change from the usual jeans and tee-shirts she wore. The heels took a little time to get use again but soon she was walking fine. Or so she thought until she smacked into a darkly dressed man with a beard.

“Shit, sorry about that”, she quickly apologized, feeling embarrassed for a moment. Way to make an entrance, she inwardly sighed.

A fragile looking young woman stood in the doorway still in the soaked skirt and sweater from her beachside landing that morning. But Susan being Susan decided to just make the best of things as she finally came into the party, on the lookout for Legolas since he did understand the world that was Narnia.

Ginny looked up from her spot at a table to notice a new arrival to the party. The girl seemed a bit younger, and was completely drenched. Possibly a new arrival. She stood and made her way over to the doorway.

She gave the other girl a friendly grin. "Hi! I'm Ginny, and you look a bit drenched. Would you like me to spell you dry?" There was no point in hiding her magic. There had been an older man displaying his seemingly wandless talents earlier, after all. What was a drying charm added to the mix?

With no fireworks or fanfare, Clark Kent stepped into the room where the party was supposed to be held, and being honest with himself, admitted inwardly he wasn't sure at all why he showed up. There wasn't really a good reason to be here, and yet when he'd seen the notice about it, it'd seemed rather like the thing to do, or rather the sort of thing that Chloe would have made him come to if she had been here. He'd half expected Lois to drag him here, but the two hadn't talked since that awkward moment in the gym, and even if they had, Lois asking him to a party might have seemed a little too 'date-ish' to be comfortable. Just thinking about it made Clark chew slightly on his lower lip in thought.

What had she meant by all of that anyway? Looking at her the way that he looked at Lana... that was crazy. Lana was... the earth and sun and stars. She was everything a first love... a true love, was supposed to be. His heart soared whenever she entered a room, and whenever she wasn't there it felt as if there was some sort of gap that he couldn't quite fill. Even if it was too dangerous for him to ever be with Lana, he still loved her. Absolutely and truly and completely. Without question, without doubt and beyond reason. He reaffirmed all of those things in his mind over and over again for a few moments, examining them to see if any of them had really changed...

Lois, on the other hand, was annoying, self centered, fouth mouthed, egotistical, bratty, and full of herself. She seemed to have all of the flaws that Lana didn't. And she frustrated him in ways that made him almost want to strangle the air at the thought of. The way she had that satisfied little smirk on her lips whenever she thought she got the upper hand with him. The way she constantly treated him like some stupid country bumpkin. Like all of her life experiences had really made her a better person. If anything, the only thing he wanted to do to Lois was show her his super powers so he could finally rub in her face once and for all that he really had to hold back not to crush her fragile ego.

She seemed to know how to push all of the buttons that no one else did. And it wasn't really that Clark hadn't been told that they might make a couple before. His parents had teased him about it, much to his annoyance. No, it was the fact that for some reason she thought that he was looking at HER with the same reverence he looked at Lana with. It was blasphemy! or something like that... annoying at the very least.

So dressed in a dark blazer and slacks with pinstripes and a white dress shirt beneath, Clark had forced himself to dress up for this party, so at the very least he could feel important. Unfortunately, arriving there and not recognizing anyone at first glance, Clark felt rather small and insignificant. He spotted Katara talking to a pale haired young man, but opted not to disturb them. Despite the light crush he'd had on Katara at their first meeting, her story about Aang had wiped away anything there that could have been romantic. She was Aang's Lana, in a way, and to ruin that would be a blasphemy in it's own right.

Despite being dressed rather sharply, it was clear to anyone who was a real party goer that Clark was a wallflower. He didn't even make an attempt to go for the dance floor, instead going to the condiments, grabbing a can of soda and cracking it open, then finding a good spot on the wall to lean back and watch the party. He'd never been good at these sort of things. When he'd gone with Chloe to prom she'd had to practically drag him out on the dance floor...

She'd always been quite the fan of showing up late. Although, normally, it wasn't exactly something she did on purpose, but rather just a result of her being rather undisciplined and not getting ready on time. Today was no different, but it never bothered her much. The way she figured it, anyone worth the time of day would wait for her, and any party over before she arrived wasn't worth going to.

So, after her conversation with the very nice, although slightly obsessed with Xena Gabrielle, she had gone back to her room for a hot, very long shower. One of the best things about Mirage was how hot the water was, and how it never seemed to run out. Years of living in cheap, sleazy motels meant that she was used to lukewarm showers, at best. She really couldn't get enough, and kept the water so steaming hot that it actually reddened her pale skin.

After her shower, she'd gotten dressed in a very revealing pair of red leather pants and a black top that left her midriff bare, and headed down. Predictably, she was late. But that didn't stop her from sashaying into the room and looking around. It looked like a fun party, actually, and she immediately decided she was going to have an amazing time. She'd thought maybe it would be lame but no way.

Her eyes fell on a guy that practically screamed 'Wallflower' at her. Cute, very cute. A little geeky, but that had never particularly bothered her. In fact, sometimes the really geeky ones were the ones that were the most fun in bed. You never could tell. Anyway, pretty much everyone else seemed to be busy talking, and he was all alone.

Snagging a bottle of beer as she went past, she leaned against the wall and looked at the attractive man with a smile on her face. Never being one to be all that subtle, she spoke to him right away, and in a very typical Faith manner.

"You're the best looking guy here, so I thought I'd come say hi, introduce myself. How's it going?" She offered her hand. "Faith."

So Max heard they were having a party down at the ‘White Sands Resort Bar and Club’… a Luau… and Ginny was the hostess. Due to one thing or another, he hadn’t been able to see her since their magical day together and he wondered if she would still want to see him…he hoped she would. He jumped in the shower and lathered up, thinking of her eyes and lips and that fiery red hair, “Whoa, Max”, he chuckled to himself, “Just forget about all of that for now or you’ll never make it through the shower”. After toweling off, he did something he never did before…he dabbed on a little cologne…strangely, it appeared when he thought about it, expensive brand too. He dressed himself, as usual, in jeans, boots and, this time, a pale violet tee shirt. He looked in the mirror and messed with his hair a bit…it would be dry before he made it to the bar. Taking a deep breath, he left his room and headed down the hallway.

He could hear the party before he got anywhere near it. Part of him wanted to turn around and go back. The part that grew up in Roswell, New Mexico having to seclude himself with his sister and best friend to hide who they were…to always worry about discovery…to not even tell the adoptive parents who you loved…a life spent in paranoia and anxiety…a life spent in fear. No, he could do this. He could handle the crowds…there were no Sheriff Valentis no FBI agents. Since he had been here on Mirage, he had told Giselle, Katara and Ginny that he was an alien and they didn’t run away screaming or tell anyone or treat him any differently. He smiled…he and Ginny got on quite well. As he got closer to the entrance to the bar, he straightened his shoulders and stuck out his chest and wiped the smile off of his face. He wouldn’t hold Ginny to any promises…it wasn’t fair to her. Maybe she had had second thoughts…if she had, he would be nice and make it easy for her.

Stepping through the doors, Max looked around the room at the crowd of people and took in the Hawaiian decorations and the food and drinks and music and lights…he ran his hands through his thick, dark hair and walked to the bar, “Root beer, please…”, he looked over the bar, “…and would you happen to have any Tabasco sauce back there?”. One thing that drew attention if it was noticed, by the people of Roswell was the way that Max, Isabel and Michael added Tabasco sauce to just about everything sweet…ice cream, milk shakes, pies, cakes, etc. They had a real yearning for the sweet and spicy. It was just like this place, of course, to have Tabasco sauce when he asked for it…so he happily added it to his frothy root beer and took a heavenly sip, “Ahhhhh”. He smiled into the crowd, looking for someone he knew or anyone who might want to talk to this alien boy.

Ayla entered the bar wearing something that might remind some of American Indian garb. Crudely cut leather pieces stitched together just as crudely into a pair of knee length leggings and a sleeveless tunic. Beaded decoration adorned the collar and down the middle of the tunic and the outer seams of the pants. She wore a wide belt around her hips.

Hearing that there was to be a party to celebrate the storm raging outside, Ayla had to investigate. She didn't know what a party was, but she wanted to find out. She had started out going in her normal summer wrap, but saw the people arriving wearing nicer clothes. She went back to her cave and put on an outfit she reserved for special occassions. She had also left her waist length blond hair down. It curled naturally at the ends and she had decided to plait it near her hairline to keep it out of her eyes.

Glancing around, Ayla walked up to the bar where a good number of people had congregated. She found herself next to a young man who appeared to be around her age, and she flashed him a white smile. "Hello." She greeted him, a little shyly. "I am Ayla, I do not think we have met." She looked at the drink he was pounding and her well trained nose picked up a hint of anise. But it was sweet and then the spicy odor hit her and she flinched slightly.

She wasn't familiar with root beer or tabasco so the whole thing was strange to her. But people liked what they liked, she wasn't going to make him feel bad for liking it. A golem approached and she was at a loss for what she might want to order. "Just water, please?" She had no concept of the different drinks that were available and she wasn't in the mood for tea.

Michiru had spent most of the day tucked away in a small, lockable room she'd found after her rather disastrous encounter with that Tyler boy, playing a violin that was almost-but-not-quite like her one from home. She'd played her fingers raw and bleeding, which was not like her. Too many ways a seemingly minor injury like that could turn into something career threating. Granted, as a senshi she did tend to heal fast, but it was foolish to take unnecessary risks. So, after she'd finally calmed down enough to interact with people again she'd returned to her room, and spent a good quarter hour using the supplies from the seemingly endless medicine cabinet to clean and protect her hands.

Emerging from the bathroom back into the bedroom, the first thing she noticed were several very damp bags on the floor. She hadn't noticed them when she came in, but she had been in pain. She nudged one carefully with her foot. It fell over, spilling damp organza and far, far too many jordan almonds all over the floor. Confused, she bent to try to gather all of them back into the bag, all without using her damaged fingertips. Finally she gave up. This was just beyond strange. Why would the planet think she wanted organza and almonds? She wasn't getting married or anything. And even if she had wanted them, she certainly didn't want damp ones.

She sat down on the bed, and sighed. There was that party tonight. And she should make an appearance. Even if almost everyone she'd met so far was strange, and often off-putting, it would be a good idea to at least make attempts at being social. Mustering her energies, she stood up and crossed to her closet to start getting dressed.

Nearly an hour later, changed, showered and feeling slightly more willing to interact with her fellow people, she entered the club. She looked around at the rather garish decoration and shook her head slightly. It was quite silly. But maybe she could have, if not fun per se, at least a distracting time. She wandered over to the food table, suddenly aware she'd eaten very little today. She assembled a plate of interesting looking foods and then found an unoccupied space of wall were she could stand, eat and watch the party guests.

This was getting ridiculous. Elves, all of them, need to be outside in nature very often, or it wasn't exactly healthy for their mental health. This storm, however, was making that quite impossible, and Legolas was just about bored enough to see what would happen if he shot one of the golems in the head with an arrow. He wasn't quite stupid enough to do that, but it was getting close.

He'd had a long, and in parts, very interesting, day. First, meeting the young Queen, and then heading off to breakfast with Aragorn. The Ranger had been very quiet, which Legolas supposed was natural. He'd left the elf alone fairly quickly, and he'd been on his own all day. Hence, of course, the boredom that he'd felt through the majority of the day, so when he remembered the party, he immediately decided to go.

A quick trip back to his room and he was dressed like the Prince he was, but so seldom appeared. A silver-blue velvet tunic seemed the perfect thing to him, considering he had no idea what anyone would be wearing. Just as an extra touch, he put his delicate mithril crown on his head, and leaving all his weapons except one knife hidden in a boot, he headed off to the party.

It wasn't at all hard to find, and was in fact in full swing when he got there. He'd had no idea what to expect, though he'd been to both Elven and Human parties. Nothing could have prepared him for what he saw walking in. He blinked, dark eyes darting around the room, looking for anyone he knew. He saw several people, but not Aragorn or anyone unoccupied already. At least, not until he scanned the wall, and saw a rather strange looking human. She had odd hair... he quite liked it.

Making a quick decision, he went over to the table, delighted to see they had the elven honey cakes of which he was so fond. He scooped one up and nibbled on a corner as he made his way over to the female human. When he was close enough to be seen and heard, he stopped and bowed slightly to her.

"Do you mind if I join you? I have come too late to the party, I fear, and everyone I know is already occupied. I enjoy making new friends, though, unless you are adverse."

His father would have been horrified, and not only because he was making friendly overtures towards a human. Elves were normally much more subtle than that, but Legolas had less than no patience for the political games others of his rank seemed to play with ease.

Scott practilly beamed as he strolled through the doors as if he owned the place.

It wasnt everyday he got to go a party,ok so he would admit he no idea what a hurricane party was exactly,he was 17 and all partys were the same to him anyway,so what did it matter?Still,it wasnt like he had had an elsewhere to be or anything,he thought as he gazed about the room, slowly making his way toward the buffet table.

He was dressed in his usual garb, black and white 'camouflage'jeans, kurt cobane t-shirt and of course blinding blue dyed hair.

He stopped by the bar,half-expected to be carded, but gave his order to the golem..thing."Uh..beer please?"He asked, still not to sure about this whole thing.

After she and Rogue had parted company, Haruka had gone to take a better look at her room. Her initial observations had been correct. The room was an exact match for the room she shared with Michiru at home, even down to the water stain on her bedside table. It had been too painful to stay there, surrounded by the reminders of her life before, (she could swear the pillow smelled like Michiru's hair)so Haruka decided to spend the day exploring the interior of the resort. She'd discovered the video game room, and spent a good deal of time cloistered inside the racing game she'd found near the back of the room. If the weather outside had been better, she'd have gone looking for a dirt bike or a dune buggy or something so she could feel the wind, but it wasn't, so the game had to suffice.

She noticed a flyer for the Hurricane Party on her way out of the game room and scanned it quickly. While she didn't really feel like going to a party, it would give her a better idea of exactly how many people were here, and give her a chance to see if anyone had figured out exactly why they'd been stolen away. Plus, parties usually had bars, and, while there was a bar here, she'd noticed, drinking alone was never a good idea. And oh, she could use the drink right about now.

Haruka had returned to the room and discovered that one of the bags she'd brought with her had overbalanced and spilled everywhere. She shook her head. She could deal with it later. She crossed to the closet, wincing at the number of Michiru's outfits that greeted her as she opened the doors, and fished through to find something suitable to wear. Haruka wasn't one for formal attire, so she settled on a pair of slacks and a sleeveless shirt, then turned and made her way back to the main building and the luau party.

She blinked at the sight of so many people gathered inside. The situation was worse than she'd imagined. She scanned the crowd, not really taking in anyone's appearance, and spied the bar opposite. She wove through the crowd, careful not to jostle the dancers, and grabbed a stool next to a boy with very blue hair - more blue than Ami's, which Haruka didn't think possible. She heard the tail end of his order and smirked.

"Not sure what you want?" she asked. Then, she turned to the weird stone creature serving, raised an eyebrow at it, and ordered herself a rum and Coke. No sense in going too hard too fast.
