Hurricane Party!
Who: Ginny and the other residents of the resort
What: Hurricane Party!
When: Day 10, around 7 PM.
Where: The White Sands Resort Bar and Club
Rating: PG? I don't know what crazy shenanigans are going to occur.
Status: In progress.

Ginny hated being stuck indoors.

She almost literally been trying to climb the walls in her frustration when she'd decided to throw a hurricane party. She hadn't met many of the residents, and figured if there was anyone else as irritated at being stuck inside then they'd appreciate the change of scenery. It'd also give people a chance to mingle and meet. She wondered if there were others from her world here besides Tonks.

The planet had been most accomodating to her ideas. The club was currently themed for a luau, and small lanterns shed a soft glow over numerous smaller groupings of tables as well as over the dance floor and bar. She hadn't been sure what the other residents might eat, so she'd asked for a large selection of snacks. The bar was well-stocked as well. She didn't recognize all of the things stocked, but she did notice a bottle of Firewhiskey and what appeared to be butterbeer.

Now all this party needed was people. Maybe she'd get to see Max again.

"Well, they can't expect you to be thrilled with it when it's a forced activity," he shrugged, raising an eyebrow as she downed the rest of her drink and quickly following suit.

"A swim-up bar?" he asked, nearly spitting his drink out with enthusiasm. "A bar that you swim to? That's amazing. I want to swim to a bar!" he told her, although he was quite sure it was the alcohol talking. "Although, swimming away from the bar again could be more interesting and challenging," he pointed out.

	"Thankfully the water's shallow enough that you could just sorta walk out. And I think there are enough people around to keep you from drowning if you fall over!" Rose grinned. "I'll help you. That was it. He couldn't contain it any longer; it must have been the suggestion of falling over at a swim-up bar that did it - he was having a laughing fit. "Oh, wow, I love it!" he managed to tell her through his laughter.

"You'll help me? Rose, do you really think you'll be in any state to help? We'll just end up... floating about.. laughing!" he insisted, still giggling now and then at the thought of it.

His laughter was absolutely contagious, and it was a wonder that Rose didn't fall off of her stool or spill her drink. She managed to set her drink on the counter with a dull thump as she grasped it with both hands to keep from falling off.

"I might! We'd have to wait and see, wouldn't we?" To be honest, she would probably need more help making sure her swimsuit stayed on and that she stayed somewhat upright. And didn't get too friendly with others at the bar.

It took quite a lot of deep, calming breathing before the Doctor could regain any air of normality; or at least as much normality as he could muster while wearing coconuts on his chest.

"It would definitely be a new experience for both of us," he pointed out before taking a drink. "Mmm, let's get nibbles!" he insisted, hopping rather inelegantly from his stool, his head spinning a little as he stood, offering a hand to help her from her seat.

	"Nibbley nibbles!" he said, narrowly avoiding saying 'nipples' instead. He attempted to lead her across to one of the tables. "I don't know about chips, but they have a lot of mini-foods. Look, look... mini pizzas. And little sausage rolls!" he pointed out, picking up on of the mini sausage rolls and practically forcing it toward her mouth. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Nibbley nibbley nibbley nibbley," she half sang as she stumbled across the room with him, nearly tripping over her grass skirt at least once. "Nibbley nibbley nibbley nibbley- oh!" The Doctor opened his mouth, letting her shove the snack in. He somehow managed to smile at her as he chewed, until something caught his eye and he looked as if he'd just choked. "Oh my god, they do have chips!" he told her, spraying pastry with his exclamation and waving manically in the direction of the chips.

"The golems must have known you were coming!" he teased, digging his elbow into her side and reaching for the chips. He motioned as if he were going to pop the chip into her mouth as well, but at the last second he shoved it into his own mouth instead. He snorted with laughter, giving her a cheeky look as if waiting for her reaction. "Sorry, sorry, here..." he said between giggles, holding a new chip out to her.

"Chips!" Rose burst into giggles, turning as he did and moving to the chips, waiting as he waved the chip around and opening her mouth- oh, bugger. "Doctor!" she exclaimed, hands moving to her hips. And then he offered her a chip and she took a bite, fingers wrapping around his wrist to keep him from tugging it away.

"Thank you," she said, grinning. "Wanna dance?"

	"Yes!" he exclaimed, instantly grabbing her hand and dragging her in the direction of the dancefloor. He grinned widely and wrapped his free arm round her waist, pulling her close and swaying slightly with the music. He leaned close, and started to sing softly into her ear. 	Rose giggled as he pulled her closer, arms wrapping around him they began to sway. Oh, he smelled nice. Or maybe she was just imagining things-- but then again, she always had liked how he smelled. 	"I wouldn't know where else to put them..." he sighed, apparently too drunk to realise how illogical that sentence was. The Doctor tried to lift his head from her shoulder, but decided to leave it where it was as the room spun violently. He was sure he hadn't been quite so drunk in at least a few centuries, but supposed it was result of his surroundings. Really, he had very little purpose on the planet - there was only so much investigating and tinkering with the TARDIS he could do. he wasn't a defeatist, he wasn't giving up on the thought that they'd all get off the planet once and for all... but that didn't mean he couldn't actually participate in a party for once.

Not that there was any room in his head for such thoughts at that precise moment. Instead, he moved forward. His head was still too heavy to manage a kiss to her cheek, so instead he pressed a wet kiss against her neck.

	Rose shivered slightly, smiling as she felt the kiss- it was rather wet. She hugged him closer and she couldn't help but giggle-- it tickled a little. And his coconuts were poking her in the chest. 	"Yeah, fun.. fun..." he said, as if he'd only heard the word for the first time. He stopped swaying rather suddenly, and pointed far too obviously in the direction of Sonya Blade. The Doctor made a face of disgust as Rose suggested the human was pretty, partially for Rose's benefit, but partially due to his own slight prejudices. His drunkenness made it harder to keep himself under control. "Really? She's very little, like a... porcelain doll?" he explained, although why exactly that was meant to be a criticism was anyone's guess.

"I should go and say sorry, but I don't know if I can move that far, and I might say something about her being made of china," he mumbled. "No, no, I think we should go... I just want you. I mean... err.. I mean I just want to be... er.. I think we should go," he managed to get out before he dug himself too big of a hole.

	"Go?" Rose looked back to the other girl and then nodded. "I- yeah. Yeah, I suppose you're right." Yes. Going sounded like a pretty good idea. Taking the Doctor's hand, she smiled at him.
