[There is a certain melancholic demon walking around Sector 4's Butterfly Pavilion. Since the art class was canceled, it seemed like good opportunity to take his bearbee for a stroll.]

[As he walks, he is reminiscing about yesterdays events- can't decide which one was more surprising, if young!Conrad or Gwendal's visit. He is glad Gwendal is back home, but little brother misses his older brother. If only Gwendal could have stayed for a little bit longer...]

[sigh]

[After walking for a while, he feels like taking a little break and sits on the soft grass.] Appa-- [playfully grabs it's chubby paws] don't you miss your siblings? [after all you have hundreds of siblings and now... you only have Wolfram.] ... Don't you ever feel lonely?

[softly, he pats the bearbee's head which prompts some cute 'nogisu!' sounds from Appa.] ... It would be nice if we too could be allowed to go back home, wouldn't it?

Not again...

Uhm... Hello...? There's got to be some mistake... Is it possible to get a hold of the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning...? Or someone from it, at least...? I haven't done anything wrong...

[The face looks very familiar to another resident here, only older and with longer hair tied back into a ponytail but the color of it and his eyes are the same. He's also sitting in a wheelchair.]

[The camera feed flickers on to reveal a young blonde woman, seated facing away from a lightly cluttered desk towards the camera.]

Good morning, everyone! Since there are a lot of new people here, I thought maybe I could make an announcement. To those who don't know me, I'm Winry Rockbell, and I'm an automail engineer from Rockbell Automail.

For those who don't know, automail is the name of advanced mechanical prosthetics on my world, which attach directly to the body's nerves and can be controlled as if it's a regular limb. It's really similar to the idea of cybernetics that some worlds have, that is robotic prosthetics.

[She holds up a metallic arm and leg, her "samples" that are almost identical to the cold-weather automail she made for Ed up in Briggs.]

If anyone who has a similar kind of prosthesis, it's likely I'd be able to do maintenance on it or even possibly upgrade it, if needed. [Or pick up some ideas from foreign technology, but she's not mentioning that.] And if anyone is in the need of any new prostheses, we may be able to arrange with Acumen for the surgery required.

In any case, feel free to contact me and we'll be able to figure out something!

The 75th Day
09 August 2010 at 08:59 pm
Good morning inmates. It is the 75th day of the third generation.

A shipment of blood has arrived, and the allotted refrigerator should be completely filled come mid-morning; convenience store shelves restocked with blood substitutes by this afternoon. I will consider altering the shipments and schedule in order to better prevent this from happening again.

System protocol and code review has finished, and I have found only a few errors remaining. They will be repaired in a timely manner.

Inmates Kaien Kurosu and Shiki Misaki, your requests are at the entrance to Sector 0.

Do a little daaaaance.

[Suddenly, more demanding,] OBEY. [GIR laughs while he orders some angry bots to escort every single one of you to one of the parks. Fighting back will only result in punishment...and believe him, you don't want to know what GIR has cooked up for you then.

While you walk you may notice that dawn has suddenly become night again, the lighting is still working though it's all very...vibrantly colored and disco-y--maybe a strobe light here and there--and that the once peaceful silence has turned into blaring techno.

GIR starts to sniffle happily.]

Y-you're all so beautiful.

[Having heard that the new warden was encouraging the best kind of human interaction (aside from sharing a bottle of red from an especially good year), Cross is going to make the most of it. He's out bright and -- okay, maybe dark and early, but it's the right atmosphere, anyway -- looking for a lucky lady.]

[He settles himself on a bench in the park, for now, keeping an eye out for any sweet young things that happen by. After a smoke, he'll strike out again.]

((OOC: Cross is on the prowl~ Feel free to run into him wherever at any point of the day, since he'll be wandering until he finds a bedmate or three -- or just be doing something else; he's happy to interrupt. Post is most certainly wide open, but be aware that if the character is female and attractive and anywhere close to the age of consent, she will be hit on. Hard. &hearts

ETA warning: The thread with Ashura gets quite steamy~))

...Acumen? ...Hellooooooo? LET'S MAKE BABI--

--OOOOOOO~ I CAN SEE ALLLLL OF YOU! YOU'S ALL GONNA BE LIKE ANTS!

[Giggle while GIR proceeds to mess about with certain things in his new surroundings, gleefully asking what 'this does' or 'that does' in the process.

GIR eventually decides that he rather likes the dome in nighttime, so for now all you'll be seeing is darkness. But of course breakfast time doesn't have to suffer because of this! There's a gasp because now GIR has some ideas!

Should you be worried? That is entirely up to you.]

DOLPHINS!

((ooc: Ok, guys, today's the day to meet your new Vermin Overlord! First off, you can always refer to this post for a day-to-day schedule of what's happening. This morning Orihime and Ribbons will be given special attention! GIR will be sending robots to Orihime's house to pamper her senseless and give her candy and as for Ribbons, congratulations, you will be sent a huge shipment of tacos with bacon in them.

Comment as you would any other day post and have fun~))

Man, it really feels like it's been longer than two weeks since I've been here. Not that I mind! I've got to meet some really cool people here.

[Laughs]

And it's definitely two weeks I wouldn't have had. So!

Kinda glad that some of you kids are excited and getting ready for tomorrow. Don't really have that sort of thing back home. My hometown's really, really tiny. Seriously tiny. I think even Cloud's hometown was bigger and that's saying something.

[A pause and then:]

Ashura, how you holding up today? Feeling any better? Those looked pretty nasty, man.

[Lockon figures he's waited long enough for an explanation. One call will, hopefully, clear a lot of things up.

After a deep breath, and without sound too put out by the fact he was out of the loop, he came over the private filter for the other Meisters with a sigh.]

Oy, when was someone going to tell me that Tieria had a brother? A twin, no less...

[ voice | filtered to Lacus and Winry ]

Good morning, you two. I just wanted to say that I picked up the two spotlights that I got on request from Acumen. [Sheepish chuckle.] Looks like we won't need to build those lasers after all, Winry.

...but! If I'll still let you see a bit about what makes Haro tick, as that was the deal. I just need to get Haro checked out a bit, today, and I can call you once he's up and running again.

Also, Lacus, maybe we should finish drafting the lesson plan today. [And talk about a few other things... But, just in case she's busy with Defense Force business:] Let me know if you've got the time, ne?

(( ooc: I derped and forgot another call Lockon needed to make today, so I just edited it in to cut down on potential spam. Sorry! ))

[After much messing around with the communicator, there is eventually a light flashing at him. Link's not too sure what that means, but after a moment he figures out that that means the device is on]

Is this really a communication device...? [A little in awe, a little suspicious. It's a little advanced, he's not used to these kinds of things. Can hear people talking though, so maybe it is]

Has anyone seen- [No wait, people couldn't usually see Zelda] Has anyone seen a tall suit of armour around? Kind of pink in colour, and talks? [Yeah, he knows it sounds weird] I don't know why she'd be here though... [Sigh]

Zelda I hope you're safe...

[ the softest click. ]

First, I wish to express my most sincere gratitude to His Imperial Majesty Lelouch vi Britannia and Her Royal Highness Euphemia li Britannia. [ her name might come first on the brochure, but Lelouch is the emperor; it's only proper. ] The pamphlet has been quite informative, and it was very thoughtful of you both.

I have only one question remaining, if there are any here who wouldn't mind helping out an old man. [ now his tone turns more affable, less stiffly proper. friendliness never hurt! ] The monsters that were mentioned. [ before all this confused noise started ] Shall I assume these are relatively new additions to the asylum? [ ♥ ]

[Winry's communicator voice channel has been left on since talking to Al last night, having been too drunk to think to turn it off. She did manage to take it off her head at least, so that it came to a rest next to her pillow for the rest of the night.

After several hours of the microphone transmitting sounds of ruffling sheets and more or less silence otherwise, the blonde wakes up sometime after the morning announcements, head pounding and a rather sick feeling in her stomach.

The microphone doesn't pick up what she says very loudly, but there's a noticeable moan of pain followed by three words:]

Ohhhhhhh, my head....

[The bonfire going in Sector 6 is guarded by sentinels, but the area is decorated with orange and blue tents and laid out with good food, many of it toasted or hot. The flames are enchanted and cool, and they get extinguished if they're taken outside the boundaries of the little camp, but there is actually have a rich, spicy alcoholic beverage being served there, so try to have fun with that instead. (No, it will not make you breathe fire.)

[The bleachers and benches here offer the best view of the fireworks just starting to go off as the sky darkens...]

[Ed's looking- well, slightly annoyed for Ed, pissed off to anyone that doesn't know him - and not really looking straight forward. He took his time to explore and get comfortable with the communicator before attempting to use the damn thing. The idea of alternate worlds and different uses of technology isn't entirely foreign to him, but he's not going to pretend to just be okay with this new development. In fact, he's really not okay with it at all.]

All right, so it wasn't a dream. I get it. I'm a sinner and a criminal, and I deserve to be here. Wherever the hell here is, but if the guy in charge is so flawless - what is he doing capturing little kids?

[Leave it to Ed to forget that he probably would have qualified to be here at the age of ten. The last part is mumbled to himself as he pulls the communicator off again.]

And if it is- it's... another world without alchemy.

[ooc: Okay so. I did intentionally wait to post, because I wanted Ed to have some IC time to inspect the communicator and everything before actually using it, but then my life got really insane for about a week, so my putting it off a day stretched... forever. I'm really sorry about that guys, but he's in now so- hopefully I didn't mess anything up.]

Ah, what a day well spent.

There's nothing better than an afternoon of baby pictures and parental anecdotes! Yuuri! Your mother showed me her photo albums, and I must say you were quite the cute little gentleman in your younger days! Not many little boys call pull off frills so well!

Mrs. Shibuya -- Jennifer, may I? I must say we meet again sometime soon. I'll never run dry of stories, and I'm sure you could say the same! [ hahaha! ] Oh, I never did tell you the rest of that story about Elysia's second Halloween, did I? I suppose I'll have to save that for next time!

Oh! Yes and - Winry, I must say you've got quite the touch for baking. By the time I'd heard about the pies and went to look in the kitchens, there was hardly any left! [ a little softer, can't help but be reminded of Gracia. ] You followed the recipe perfectly. If you bake again, please let me know!

[ Filtered from Homunculi ]

Is there someone who can teach me a bit more about this device? I'd like to know how secure the lines are, and any precautions I can take to ensure I don't have eavesdroppers on my private conversations.

[ now for a more serious tone of voice: ] I'd also like to warn people to shy from interacting with a being that calls itself Envy. He's what's called a Homunculus, and he's a particularly dangerous individual able to change shape at will. Some of you might recall that in the past that a Colonel Roy Mustang issued a similar warning to this one - as the last time Envy was present in the dome he attacked a man and had to be forcibly subdued.

Please just be careful dealing with him, for he enjoys playing tricks by switching forms to taunt his victims.

He's gone. )

[Winry made her way down to the kitchen, having promised to make Al one of Gracia Hughes'-style apple pies today. However, first, she stopped to make a bit to eat before she worked on the pie. It wasn't not a big breakfast. Just a couple muffins and a couple cups of tea.

As she started work on her pie, her worries just dissolved away. Really, she's feeling better than she has since that homunculus showed up, now. It's like he doesn't even matter anymore. Somehow ever since breakfast she's just been feeling great.

...And why should she make just one pie? Over the morning hours, she counted out some more baking apples, cut them up, rolled out the crusts...]

[Now she's up to her sixth hot pie pulled out of the oven. It's way more than she intended (they're really big pies after all), but why not share them? She opens a Video channel with her communicator.]

[Due to the tea's effect her words might come by you a little fast....] Hi everyone, I've baked a lot of apples pies they're all here in the kitchen and they're made from this amazing recipe that Ms. Gracia Hughes gave me and she's really such an amazing woman and mother and a great cook too so I think you'll all love this but don't take too much or else someone might be unable to try it but I guess I can always make more later but I've got a great idea that I need to test out right now! Enjoy!

((OOC: She's had a pretty heavy dose of Komuvitamin E. Beware of sparkles.))
