it's my party and i'll cry if i want to...
Who: Kozue and ~~the adoring public~~ You
What: Festivities
Where: Bar Kidnap

Why: Because of presents and alcohol.

True to her word, Kozue had established herself in the VIP area of Bar Kidnap—still pretending to be blissfully unaware of the frightening or ominous implications of the name. She hadn't gone to much (or any) trouble to prove that this was a birthday party, however; she was dressed up, in an outfit a bit scantier than her normal going-out attire. She was sporting a green, sequin-covered minidress and a pair of heels of a ridiculous height. And her hair was even more carefully arranged than normal.

The VIP area was situated on a balcony, overlooking the rest of the club; from there, Kozue was engaged in chatting amicably with one of the older girls from the tennis club, but her attention kept drifting to the entrance downstairs. More people should show up. There weren't nearly enough for the party to be genuinely successful. So, every few moments, she cast a nervous glance downstairs.

The club itself wasn't all that packed; it was a weeknight, after all, and if any of the actual grown-up patrons noticed the steady stream of highschoolers, they weren't making a fuss. And the bouncers had either been bribed very efficiently, or were under instructions not to care, either.

Kanaye looked up at the sign and laughed. Bar Kidnap? Seriously? He didn't know English, but he did ask his parents, and...well...

He chuckled a bit and managed to calm his laughter. Mom's face when she saw why he was asking was priceless. What was even funnier was her reaction. "You're going to a party? That's great news! You might even find a girl there!" Kanaye hadn't the heart to tell his parents that he was actually dating, less out of fear of them rejecting Maeko, more out of fear that it wouldn't last long enough.

Kanaye waited outside the door, his present under one arm and the bottles of alcohol hidden under the other. He smiled. The advantages to wearing a cape. Sure, people looked at him weird, but he was foreign. He's used to it. It wasn't much harder to steal it, either. He already figured out the lock to the new liqueur cabinet his parents bought. Smiling, he looked around for his date.

"Kii-do-na-pu..." Maeko repeated to herself, looking around for a sign. She maybe should have asked where the place was more than finding out where the nearest train station was. Fortunately, her boyfriend was visible from about a mile away.

...in a cape.

Maeko decided to ignore this.

"Senpai!" She yelled, running over to him, gift bag clutched to her chest. "Is this the right place?"

Kanaye smiled and looked at his girlfriend. As he turned, it became obvious what he was wearing under the black cape. Orange and yellow abounded. He was wearing an orange muscle shirt, and his pants were a dark yellow. "Yeah! Here it is, Kidnap Bar!" he said enthusiastically, managed to get the pronunciation right before chuckling.

As he quickly turned to give her his hand, the faint jingling of bottles could be heard. "Shall we go in, Maeko-chan?" he asked happily.
