Who: Kozue and ~~the adoring public~~ You
What: Festivities
Where: Bar Kidnap

Why: Because of presents and alcohol.

True to her word, Kozue had established herself in the VIP area of Bar Kidnap—still pretending to be blissfully unaware of the frightening or ominous implications of the name. She hadn't gone to much (or any) trouble to prove that this was a birthday party, however; she was dressed up, in an outfit a bit scantier than her normal going-out attire. She was sporting a green, sequin-covered minidress and a pair of heels of a ridiculous height. And her hair was even more carefully arranged than normal.

The VIP area was situated on a balcony, overlooking the rest of the club; from there, Kozue was engaged in chatting amicably with one of the older girls from the tennis club, but her attention kept drifting to the entrance downstairs. More people should show up. There weren't nearly enough for the party to be genuinely successful. So, every few moments, she cast a nervous glance downstairs.

The club itself wasn't all that packed; it was a weeknight, after all, and if any of the actual grown-up patrons noticed the steady stream of highschoolers, they weren't making a fuss. And the bouncers had either been bribed very efficiently, or were under instructions not to care, either.

Kanaye laughed. "Burning is a good taste!" he shouted, getting another drink and downing it as fast as the first one. He smiled at the bartender, who shrugged and got another one. Jingling the empty glass, looking at the ice with an interested look on his face, he smirked. "Alcohol is alcohol, Kozue-san. And if I have to drink this to prevent me from breaking things, I'm fine with it."

"Well, yeah, that's why you serve it in things that don't taste like alcohol!" She took another swig of her own scotch, having worked up the courage for it as they talked. She would normally have felt a bit ashamed to be so outpaced, but Kanaye seemed to be really, really into drinking. Like, really.

"And dr--" She tipped her head, curious. Breaking things? "It's been kind of a crazy night, I guess?"

Kanaye blinks. "But that ruins the flavor!" he said, drinking from the third glass. He didn't drink all of it, this time. Only about half of it.

He nodded. "Yeah. I broke up with Maeko and then got back together with her a couple of minutes later, Misaki poured her drink on me, I got into an argument with her, I tried to make out with Maeko and got shot down, and Tom is a douche. Rather crazy, yes."

"Sounds like it has been exciting. Misaki poured a drink on you? What happened with that?" And. She blinked. "Akuba-senpai shot you down? Ouch." Not entirely unexpected, from what she'd seen between the two of them—when one person clearly wanted the other much, much more than was reciprocated, it was a recipe for disaster, and by their body language that kind of seemed to be the case for Kanaye and Maeko. At least, in Kozue's opinion.

Kanaye shrugged. "Yeah, but I kind of deserved it. I tried to make out with Maeko in a private place while drunk off my ass while giving her absolutely no warning or anything. I can't blame her, really."

He leaned backwards in his chair, almost falling before righting himself. "Tom told me that Maeko said to him that she was only going out with me because I saved her life. Me and Maeko go into an argument, and she admitted she said that, but was just angry with Tom and didn't mean it. We made up, and when I tried to kiss her lightly, Misaki throws her drink over me. Then we got into a fight and Maeko ran off. Then we both chased after her, got into a fight again, and I chased after her. IDK what Misaki did."

	"You have a dramatic life." That was Kozue's sage declaration, after taking one more sip of her whiskey-scotch-thing. "I mean, even in comparison to mine." Normally, she wouldn't have even raised the question, but her inhibitions were slowly receding and asking prying questions was an important feature of her typical drunk behavior. She laughed again. "Okay, okay. Hey, I've had clingy boyfriends—never an obsessive one before, though." She pondered this, while taking a final sip from her glass. Damn, but things served on the rocks went fast--it was the small glasses. "Another one, please!" She hollered down to the bartender. "It's a recommendation of how you feel about her, I guess. Or is that commendation? I don't know."

	"Good!" Her drink arrived; she smiled rather blearily at the bartender and took a swig. "Very good!" A grin. "Ah. So. What are we talking about, senpai? I mean besides commending you." "I have no idea!" Kanaye announced. "Therefore, I shall change the subject ham-handedly. I am very good at stuff like that, yaknow." Kanaye nodded to Kozue. "You see, after today's events, I feel that now is the best time for me to try to take things all the way with Maeko."

Kanaye decided to ignore the fact he got rejected for a make-out session, and carried on. "I have absolutely no idea where to start and I don't think "let's have sex" is a brilliant thing to say. I'm not insulting you or anything, but could you give me some advice?"

"I," Kozue declared, raising her head slightly, "am a fountain of awesome advice! I'm like, professional at it." She grinned, conveniently forgetting the complete disaster that her advice for Tom was likely to be, and the fact that her advice to Maeko had probably led in no small part to Kanaye's troubles just now. That all was going to go unsaid, of course. "Welllll…" She drew it out, pondering.

"Didn't she just shoot you down for kissing? Er. Making out, hooking up, whatever? That's usually pretty involved in going all the way. But. Yeah. Let's have sex is pretty unsexy." At least he figured that out. "And seldom works."

	Kanaye nodded slowly. "True. BUT!" he shouted, standing up. "That is a completely different situation! You see, I WAS DRUNK AT THE TIME!" Kanaye yelled almost as loud as he could, proving that he is still drunk. "And!" He sat down and started talking in a way that was more normal. "I didn't ask for permission! Kozue watched this with a few giggles—and another sip—and a few more giggles. "Yeah, yeah, well being drunk doesn't stop most people but." Another giggle. "Ask if you're not sure obviously. You could always try something romantic. Does Akuba-senpai seem like the type who believes all that stuff about your first time being with 'someone special' and all?" She even used one-handed finger quotes. "If she does, tell her how much she means to you, and how much…" A vague wave. "You know. Stuff like that. It cracks me up when people use that line, but she might like it."

Kanaye blinked and nodded. "True, but you have to admit, Kozue-san, Maeko-chan is very different from you." He declined to say in which ways she was different. "I shall try the romance option, she seems to like it when that happens."

He took another drink and leaned in. "Do you mind giving me some advice on actually doing it? I've got the basics down, I think, but..."

"Well, of course she's different from me—that's why I'm giving you advice like use romantic lines! Special first time and all that." She was halfway through another swig when she processed Kanaye's request for actual sex tips. And she barely kept from spitting her drink out in a laugh, or snorting it up her nose, or something else equally painful and embarrassing.

"A--I--really? Aren't guys supposed to ask each other? About stuff like that?"

She nodded. That was just fact, as far as Kozue was concerned. "It's like, you know, anything. You need practice to do it right. But if you really want tips?" Was her face reddening slightly? Kozue told herself it was just the alcohol. And the alcohol making her so chatty; normally, she'd never… Okay, she would, but probably not with a boy and probably not in the middle of a bar. "So use birth control, pay attention to what she likes, and under no circumstances should you ever, ever raise your arms and shout 'goal!'."

"Ever."

Kanaye nodded wisely. "Of course it is! I'm just trying to make it suck less."

He rubbed his imaginary beard. "I was planning to do that anyway." He said, before raising an eyebrow. "...Pardon my French, but Ce qui la baise?" After realizing that he did, in fact, say it in (horrible mispronounced) French, he clarified. "What the fuck? Did that seriously happen?"

"No, I refuse to pardon your French!" Kozue said, laughing, and smacking the bar with one open hand. "I have no idea what your French was, so you get no pardoning!" A smile, and then she paid attention to the translation.

"I am not saying anything bad about anyone who might happen to play on the soccer team with you and whether or not this happened to someone who was me or a girl I know or whatever. Or yeah."

The convoluted agreement-denial pleased her, and she took a swig of scotch to reward herself for such weaselly cleverness!

Kanaye looked shocked. "You must pardon my French! My French is a very naughty boy, you know. It needs to be pardoned or else it will go to jail, and I do not have the money for bail! I NEED YOU TO PARDON IT!"

Kanaye calmed down and nodded. "Oh. Of course not. So it definitly wasn't Katakura, right? I mean, the person who wasn't involved with you or a girl you know. Or yeah." Kanaye nodded and finished off his drink, asking the bartender for another.

Kanaye pouted. "Aww. My French is very sad. I think it wants you to punish it. Maybe. I don't know, he's very confusing."

Kanaye started counting on his fingers. "Ok, so one, be romantic. Two, be confident. Three, realize it's going to suck. Four, use protection. Five, don't shout goal. GOT IT!" Kanaye grabbed his new drink out of the bartender's hands and guzzled it. "I shall try it sometime! I shall tell you how it turns out!"

Kanaye, deciding this conversation was over, turned it towards another topic. "So, how was Misaki? She was rather annoying earlier."
