Why: Because of presents and alcohol.

True to her word, Kozue had established herself in the VIP area of Bar Kidnap—still pretending to be blissfully unaware of the frightening or ominous implications of the name. She hadn't gone to much (or any) trouble to prove that this was a birthday party, however; she was dressed up, in an outfit a bit scantier than her normal going-out attire. She was sporting a green, sequin-covered minidress and a pair of heels of a ridiculous height. And her hair was even more carefully arranged than normal.

The VIP area was situated on a balcony, overlooking the rest of the club; from there, Kozue was engaged in chatting amicably with one of the older girls from the tennis club, but her attention kept drifting to the entrance downstairs. More people should show up. There weren't nearly enough for the party to be genuinely successful. So, every few moments, she cast a nervous glance downstairs.

The club itself wasn't all that packed; it was a weeknight, after all, and if any of the actual grown-up patrons noticed the steady stream of highschoolers, they weren't making a fuss. And the bouncers had either been bribed very efficiently, or were under instructions not to care, either.

"Thank you! And thanks for the good wishes!" Kozue said, accepting the box with one hand, still holding her insane beer from Kanaye in the other. "And, really, Misaki-chan? Never not once ever?" She grinned.

"In that case you have to accept a drink from me commemorating your first club visit! It's an auspish--auship--very good occasion!"

Honestly, it was even money whether Kozue was getting tipsy, or just hadn't the faintest idea how to pronounce that word while sober.

	"Auspishious?" Misaki hazarded a guess and took the drink in hand, "Um thank you but I'll settle for a virgin drink if that's okay Kozue." Shaking her head some and laughed, "Nope never even once. My family doesn't see clubs as a good place to go." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Yes, that one," Kozue agreed with a giggle, and then shook her head. "Seriously? Misaki-chan, you and this virgin stuff, people are gonna get ideas. Ideas." The second time she said it, she gave the word as much gravity as she possibly could while holding a glass of Belgian beer and wearing sequins. And then, to drive the point home, "Ideas about you that'd totally ruin your popularity, I bet."

"Eh, not that much, I haven't done any shots yet," she replied, grinning widely. "Just. This beer. Satou-senpai's delirious elephant beer. I've only had this glass and a thing with fruit juice and rum, and…" she trailed off, thinking. "Oh, wait, two things with fruit and rum. But really," she launched right back into advice on popularity and perception, "that's such an unflattering thing to associate with yourself, even if it's true." A pause. She lowered her voice.

"Is it still?"

"You really shouldn't over do it Kozue-chan. This is your party and you'll want to remember everything that happened right? Elephant beer? I...I've never heard of that." Misaki commented and smiled some. Her eyes went wide hearing about the number of drinks Kozue had, and sighed. One thing her brother had taught her was that you never mixed drinks, it made you more drunk and likey to be sicker in the morning. She sighed and wondered if Kozue knew that. Probably, was her thought, but it was the second comment regarding her virginity that had thrown her for the loop.

"Ah...Ah...Wha...what kind of question is that? What do you mean by? I...we never...not once. I mean we've kissed but...we never...did...that..it...whatever you want to call it. Um...why...why are you asking that Kozue-chan?"

Kozue managed to only giggle a little as Misaki stammered her response.

Well. No, that was actually quite a bit of giggling. It was actually hampering her ability to talk, in fact; "Y-you just keep ordering virgin d-drinks," a pause for more giggling, "I thought you were making some statement! And why do I want to know?" Another laugh; she was turning a bit pink from the laughing and the amusement. "Don't know—everyone wonders—curiosity—just 'cause—I mean, why wouldn't you? You should hurry up with it, he's actually not half bad!"

Misaki felt her face heat up, "I don't think that's the sort of question you should be asking Kozue-chan."

Thoughts of what Kanaye had said bothered her again and she gripped the drink in her hand. "I'd rather wait till I was ready. I don't want to go rushing things. I'm not in a hurry to do anything with him, and Keiichi-kun is a good guy. He's not trying to rush me either. Why should I hurry up...he's not about to leave me."

"Well, cause it's fun!" Kozue explained, face splitting into a wide grin. "You'd seriously screw a guy just because you were afraid he'd dump you?" Tch. How amateur. Guys left either way; you couldn't stop that, sex or no sex. The point was to have fun before it got too old or too boring or too serious or too unserious, and the best way to have fun?

Well, Kozue had her opinion on that, naturally. "But eh, that's about as much as I care, your pleasure is your business." She flapped a hand at Misaki and smiled. "I'm going to go find something full of liquor. Have a fun time at the party, Misaki-chan!"

	Misaki flushed deeply. How could she ask such a question! It...it was...for fun? Didn't she understand the idea of it being something you only did with someone you really loved? Wasn't that part of the point, that you shared something with someone that you really cared about? Sighing some Misaki turned to look for Maeko. (Reply to this) (Parent)
