When I woke up this morning my shield was on the wall. I'm almost afraid of the implications.

I suppose that since this is a pirate town, it stands to reason that there are pickpockets. So, watch out. I've found two so far.

So I found a salon! Since there aren't any stylists supplied by the hotel I thought I'd throw it out there that I can cut and style. Maybe mani/pedis. So if you want your hair done let me know!

I woke up this morning to find a box on my pillow. It's a little creepy that someone got into my room without me knowing.

Inside the box of memorabilia were pictures, Jason's report card with the only B he ever made.

I'm so excited. But honestly, it's disturbing as well.

So in the twenty-four hours I've been here, I’ve come to gather that there are ghosts, doll-headed spiders, creatures made of goo, and sword-wielding wasps roaming around. And I’m living in a hotel that changes at will. Is there anything else I should be aware of?

I did a batch of baking. I made Southern Karo pecan pies. Cooking is how Southern Women show people they care. It's what I do. I already gave Bruce his. I've got two for you, one to share with your friends and one just for you.

There's so many people here and I don't know very many of you so I thought maybe it would be fun to play a game or something?

Maybe we say our name and why we'd be useful in an apocalypse? Not just how we'd survive but how we'd help everyone else survive. Humanity or the group or whatever.

So I'm Gecko. I read World War Z a bunch of times so you could say I'm an expert on at least one kind of apocalypse. Also as long as everyone is really good at denial, you couldn't starve when I'm around. :D
