It isn't unusual for me to be in the stands watching Quidditch when Ravenclaw is playing... but not when Slytherin is also playing. It was harder than expected. Everyone played great, but and it was nice to see my teammates get the victory after what happened in our first game of the year.

It is often difficult for me to find reason to believe this school has our best interests at heart. Our people are on the precipice of war, and we're forced to sit back and wait while the 'adults' are slaughtered in droves, perpetually waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the inevitability of our own meager destruction. Yes, a sense of normalcy must continue to be had, but to completely ignore the situation outside of these walls is ignorant and childish.

More class time should be devoted to Defense Against the Dark Arts, and that should include a true teaching and understanding of the Dark Arts themselves, as well as a focus on Magic History and the last Death Eaters. Understanding our enemy is imperative to the survival of our people.

If a single one of you idiots decides that we're going to have a repeat of third year and decides that commenting on other people's bodies and spreading rumours is a good idea, just remember I broke bones over it last time and I'm a lot bigger now keep your damn traps shut. That particularly goes for anyone who decides mentioning my brother is a good idea. My Mother is now residing in Marble City with her youngest sister so don't expect to go looking for me in Louisiana ever again either, plantations are overrated.

As we move back towards Hogwarts, I know there are plenty of you worried and fearful of the attacks on the Ministry, and you are right to have that fear. Stay vigilant in your studies, protective spells, and be prepared to defend yourself. We cannot lie about the reality of the situation, it's a dangerous one we face. That being said, vigilance in the face of danger and fear is imperative.

Live your life to the fullest, do not falter, walk towards it with your head held high and do not let death and fear rule your lives. Be proud of who you are, and stand true to your beliefs in everything you do.

And remain focused in your studies--this school has already proven itself weak in protection of its students. Do not rely on professors to protect you, rely on yourselves and each other.

January 10th, somewhere between midnight and morning

It seems like break went by so fast this year. It doesn't seem like Christmas was already over two weeks ago and that we're boarding the train in only a few hours. I will miss Portland - running in the rain is so much easier than running in the snow. Though, admittedly, I could have gone without all of the freezing rain we've had the last week. That's never fun to run in, I'd almost take the snow at that point, but yet some how not quite.

I'm glad Mother said it would be okay to stay the night over in Marble City before getting on the train - rather than flooing it in like we usually do, I can't sleep and taking a run on a clear night in the mid 50s? I couldn't ask for a better way to clear my head before classes start back up. It'll be my only chance to get a little bit of sunshine before its back up into the mountains - where I'm sure more snow on top of more snow on top of, you guessed it, even more snow is patiently waiting for us.

I need to move somewhere warm, with sun, and maybe some pretty water after school. Too much gross weather everywhere I go.

[Heavily hexed and made Private to the Knights of Ren]

The time is soon approaching. Our brothers and sisters of the Death Eaters have attacked and purged the Ministry of the useless and weakened filth that has claimed to lead us these past 30 some years. A cleansing has commenced, and thanks to connections growing in our ranks, I am certain that we will, in time, catch the attention of our compatriots and they will provide us our role in the upcoming revolution.

All of that being said, as exciting of a time as this is, as power is at hand, we must not be hasty or reckless. Keep up appearances, don't single yourself out as a supporter so openly, or so heavily. The opposition is sensitive now, fearful, and they are huddled in masses. That makes them dangerous, and reckless, and we will not allow them to make accusations that could cause exposure to this organization. We have too much to lose, and so much more to gain.

Of course, we cannot sit idly by and wait for the Death Eaters to do all of the work, it might be time for the world to start learning that the Knights of Ren exist, and they are a power to be reckoned with. It is imperative that those of you who have friends you trust, people you believe capable of helping our order, are brought to my attention. We will discuss bringing them in and bolstering our numbers.

I also ask that you all bring me names of those staunch supporters of the Ministry and its cowardly, wayward ways, and we will begin to mark our targets. I do not intend to sit too long in the shadows now that a war is at hand.

Action must be taken, and it must be soon. I know many of you are eager, and I assure you that that action will be had. But in due time, until then continue to practice, train, and be vigilant.

It seems like I'm in the minority when I say that I'm not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow. I really enjoyed my break. I like having the internet and a computer and learning how to drive Roscoe. We had friends staying with us and it was fun having a full house. I don't think dad wants us to go either.

It's going to suck going back even if it means I get my magic back. Muggle technology > Magic. I'll fight you on this.

But I did get a keepsake when Isaac came for Christmas and Professor Hale tagged along.

I'm finding it hard to decide if it's a good idea to go back to school already because of the attack on the ministry. Dangerous things keep happening, and we may just be safer at home with our families, rather than at the school where one student has already died. My father says that this is reminiscent of some of the things that happened the last time Nyx appeared. We must be vigilant

Well, I gotta say that I'm surprised that the winter break has finished already. It was a nice one and one that was completely explosion free. My parents were quite happy for that fact. They were no so happy about the tea kettle that is now here and part of the family though. My father has banned me from creating illegal life forms again. The ministry though was rather impressed with my findings, at least the members I spoke to before the attack.

Ravenclaw Quidditch team, I hope you've been practicing! We need to be in tip top shape to win the rest of the season. I would also like to announce that I might have found us a new seeker.

I don't want school to start back up. Winter has been wonderful and it's nice to be home and watch the snow fall outside the window. It makes me want to just stay forever. But we all still need to get our educations. I have been making plans for some of my gardens though come spring break. Gotta admit that while I love the chance to do no school work, it's a little hard to do some pranks without a captive audience. It's so much easier to get people during the semester. I miss being able to butter the hallway or cast a few well armed freezing charms. But that's not to say this holiday was a complete bust. I got to enjoy the new years with Liam and my dad's been spending a lot of time with me, spoiling me a bit.

With the business of the holidays and travel I had completely forgotten that I had brought this home with me. At least until it bit me as I opened my bag that is.

I hope every one enjoyed their Christmas and are having a wonderful New Year. I've been in Cardiff, spending time with my grandparents. I also participated in a showcase here. It was so much fun and everyone was absolutely amazing.

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and more. It was very nice day. woke up with Jackson and will probably go to bed with him. It spent the day with friends and family which was really pleasant. It is always awkward having a birthday so near the holiday, but even so Mom and Dad gave me some new clothes and Wallace even remembered to owl. We all had dinner at a restaurant near the Gallery which was really good. They had this chocolate dessert that was indescribable.

The holidays were actually a bit surprising. Mom and dad showed back up and it was actually pretty nice to see them. Even my uncle was in good spirits around them, which is rare. We enjoyed dinner and they brought all sorts of gifts for the holiday. I have a few things for my friends as well. Sorry I have not mailed them out to everyone, but I wanted to hand them in person on the train.

I got to spend the whole night out dancing. My brother and I found a club and it was a pretty awesome New Year's Eve all things considered.
