Who: EVERYONE
What: A Valentine’s Day Party
Where: One of the larger more central dining areas/bar of the ship
When: Backdated to Feb 14
Rating/Warning: TBD
No one really knows who organized it. The invitations were slipped beneath every door early Friday morning, written in big red foil letters and inviting every passenger to the large, centrally located, dining hall. Once they walk in they’ll notice that the dining hall seems a little… bigger? The tables have been pushed to the side to allow the space for a dance floor, where hearts fall lazily from the ceiling by some sort of illusionary magic. Whoever put things together, obviously, called in a few favors from the magical cabin both to expand the size of the room and to help with decorations.
Soft music plays from some unseen overhead speakers at the perfect volume. It’s low enough to hold a conversation but loud enough that it won’t feel weird to dance to. There’s a buffet set up, featuring the ship’s usual fare and a few fancier offerings (like a chocolate fountain for dipping various fruits or desserts that can be skewered). A bar is also, obviously, set up. As always, the food and drinks are free but the bar will still card and make sure everyone who decides to drink is legally allowed to drink.
In a further corner, tables are set up for a speed dating event to get the ship’s singles out and meeting each other in hopes of making a love connection. No one is required to participate but the option is there for the more awkward people who wouldn’t know how to start a conversation or even how to go about meeting someone.
[I’m just going to set up an ooc sub-thread in case you just want to tell us who came and who with or if they came alone and one for speed dating in case any singles want to participate in that. Beyond that, have fun. Dance, flirt, mingle. The party isn’t set up for adult situations but I’m not going to police anything here. Just make sure you post the appropriate warnings in a header if you aren’t taking it outside of the thread]
