Well, first thing is first, I suppose now we're not all pretending at being things we aren't. Where around these parts can a man get a good weapon?

I thought the strange things only happened to my wife and around me. Seems it's clear that's no' the case here and now.

No one at the barn's letting me near Donas, even the ones that believe it's me. Canna say I blame them or dinna see the sense in that, mind you. He's a BIG beastie and far too strong for a bairn of...five years? six? But sense aside, feels like being punched in the gut and left on the ground gasping for air without him here. He's that one bit of home that's made it through and I do miss him.

Somehow it's not so bad as I make it seem...I do ken that there's been a BIT of fortune on my side. I've got a student who's found out he can talk with animals (and wasn't THAT a queer conversation to walk into), so he's been doing the looking after bits, but being put on a PONY, after spending the day at work being asked if I got lost, after so many days of it...

I willnae say it's not been wearying...

I helped out Mr. Mobius today Probably shouldn't have and found out school's starting back up tomorrow. Mom said we're going. Not looking forward to it. Does this mean I have to graduate again When's the next break?

That's Da's ring come back to me. I dinna ken if I TRUST the fact it's showed up out of nowhere, but...feels right to have it back, even if the last time someone gave it back to me...

...Has anyone seen the most beautiful woman God's placed on this green earth? Dark curls and eyes like whisky, taller than most lasses that I've kent, though seeing the ladies here, that may not be the best way to compare her as you're all a bit taller than most women and not a few men at home.

She's a healer, what you'd call a nurse, though what suckling a bairn has to do with healing I still dinnae ken, and don't mind saying so. It seems if I am here, perhaps she may as well. She's travelled through the Stones the once, so perhaps I've come through to her time now? She's also carrying our child, so as you can imagine I'd be feeling better were she in my arms again where she belongs.

Do keep an eye out for her, eh? Tell her Jamie's looking.

Well, the tagger of the pd got three years. I wasn't expecting that. Maybe probation, some community service.

I guess when you're a drunk with a prior record and the judge hates you, you get the max. Doesn't help that he broke bail. I hope that kid brother of his is okay.

Why does me knowing what happens in Sense and Sensibility matter?

It's not going to help me in my day to day life or anything. I so bombed that quiz.

So now my brother has been arrested. Apparently tagging the pd was him.

I'm still only 17, I doubt I can stay by myself. He's got priors. He's doing some kind of time.

The natives are restless. Spring Break is far behind us, Summer not quite here yet, and the senior students have all been accepted someplace next Fall, or they have an alternate plan lined up, which means they hardly care about what's coming next, and Advance Placement and other tests are lurking in the quite near horizon.

It's all that I can do to get and keep my kids' attention, honestly. Do any veteran teachers want to weigh in on something, short of threats, that I can DO to make sure we finish everything we need to? I'm nearly at the point of saying bugger it for Monday and showing a film whilst I grade tests, or nap, or weep, but I will take suggestions, too.
