I got a letter in the mail from my dad? I guess he died? I feel sad but...I don't remember him. I'm more upset that I didn't have a chance to talk to him and that he left my mom when I was so little. She never told me.

But it said I have other family. A brother! So that's...turning a frown upside down.

So, I figured out some things. Found my birth certificate, and looked up my employee history. My name is Joe Fordman, 3rd generation native of Westview, worked at the Wentworth store 20 years and am now assistant manager. My boss also told me about my idea to spread more chains of it in other cities. It's weird, I don't feel like a Joe

But it's weird though. I've been getting some weird flashes at night when I sleep. Memories, maybe? But they make no sense. And it's just pieces, fragments mostly. Like, there's snow all around me and I'm in this.. cave place? But it's all made of ice and clear or white crystals. Lots of crystals. And another dream where there's a scary bald man in a white business suit. Kinda reminds me of a banker. No idea who he is, but he looked mad.. I don't know, maybe I forgot to pay a bill or something.

So this week has been amazing

Well..... I started a short story. My parents are gonna flip. But it's what I want to do.

There's my big secret. I want to be a writer.

I'm not a malicious man in any sense but it does feel quite...devious to not tell either of the men I'm seeing about the other.
