It's going to be a full moon tonight. Everyone who was here two weeks ago on the new moon will remember the ghost pirate ship that appeared. I have no idea what, if anything, will happen tonight on the full moon, but I think it's likely something will, and we should be prepared for, well, anything.

Maybe stick close together and be ready to fight. Just in case.

I'm not sure what to think about our somewhat benevolent captors sending home so many people after giving us a nice, easy day with plenty of food yesterday.

Can those of you who are still here please check in? I'm trying to keep a list of who is around and it's hard to keep up.

This is particularly relevant to those still on the island who can read this and also teleport or create portals in another way - Alyssa and I talked to one of the merpeople, Toriel, and she indicated that word's spread down in her neck of the sea that us land-dwellers have been seen in Iceland, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Which sounds like a series of amazing vacation destinations but given what we know about the state of the world, it probably isn't.

I'm going to open portals to try to reach those in our community who are missing. If we have a couple of us on it, we should be able to get people back in a relatively decent timeframe. Anyone else in?

Um, hi? Never received an ominous letter and communication device upon arriving to a universe but, I've always wanted a phone and to see what the big deal was soooooooo, plus?

Can anyone direct me to where I might find this food? I assume the letter means other people from the multiverse, but I've been wrong before. Others doesn't mean ancient inhabitants, does it?

Well, good news - we have actual medical supplies now. A well-stocked, hardcore first aid kit. The deluxe kind that has things like instant ice packs, bandages, gauze, and ibuprofen to fancier things like airway stabilization supplies and the essentials to control bleeding.

This isn't an invitation to bleed out and have us use up the entirety of the kit in one fell swoop, thanks. But rather, our infirmary is just in better shape. And I can see what kind of duplication spells there are to work with that won't upset the balance of the island too much or its magic.

It seems like everyone's best bet for now, after reading the Network and Kaz delegated me the task to mention this in-between saving the Crows.

I was talking to Davina at the latest feast and mentioned it might be a good idea to gather all magic-inclined types for some kind of cohesive group - now that there's a library (of sorts) maybe we can even pen some of our spells, notes, or other tidbits and consult that if there's anything that comes up. It's also good to have team spirit, I guess?

Hell if I know. Just guessing there - I'm usually an independent contractor.

But, right, let me know if you're interested. Oh, and we're making progress on soap and clothes - also good to note. Not as exiting of an update as tentacles, but still pertinent.

Hello, everyone. As most of you have probably heard, some of us raided the pirate ship the other night. We came away with a fair quantity of dried beans and salted meat, as well as at least one barrel of water, bolts of various cloths.

Can anyone add anything to my (probably incomplete) summation of what we have available?

I don't know about the stairs (always such fun choose-your-own-adventure options) but Michelle and I brought back some goodies from the ghost ship that was here before. Beans, plenty of beans, and enough bolts of fabric to make clothes - if anyone's decent at sewing, now's your time to shine; let me know and I'll sign you up. The material is easy enough to work with - linen, silk, brocade, that sort of thing. But we could especially use the linen for the infirmary.

And speaking of that, check-ups are a good idea. If you haven't gone for one yet.

Since the person who penned the cows in unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it?) disappeared, I wasn't sure how the magic would hold up so I went ahead and made a similar barrier to the one that holds the sheep. The cows are grazing and are protected. Because people obviously come and go, that means we sort of need to be discretionary about hunting and whatnot - not that anyone has gone and butchered cows as far as I know, but having some sort of system in place for breeding and butchering ensures a successful farm life (save for the inevitable hiccups that always occur when you're trying to maintain a farm). Where are all my other farm people at? I say 'other' I mostly mean 'you' because I haven't revisited that life in ages.

Anyway, vegan soap was next on my list (and it was discussed a little at the feast) so we don't have to butcher animals quite yet - if anyone wants to come with me to see what's out there in terms of alternatives for making soap, I could use an explorer buddy or two.

First person who can figure out how to get me a hot shower on this god forsaken island will be rewarded with sexual favors.

Now, let it be known that I'm big on patient confidentiality. However, before sharing this I asked for permission first because it seems like pertinent info for the masses to know.

Regarding the post below mine - the ghost at the port seemed to have caused some sort of timed affliction (all symptoms point to tuberculosis, which is very old school). I was able to detect an hourglass by doing a mystical scan of chakras and their alignments - the sand doesn't have far to go, so I'm guessing only a few hours. If anyone also runs into a ghost who not-so-kindly passes on tuberculosis, best you can do is treat the symptoms while the hourglass runs out.

Mint has antibacterial properties. Garlic is also good. For treating the fever and chills, remember to rest, hydrate, or maybe find a kind soul to sponge you off. Of course, I say that and the next spirit could give someone ghost ebola, but we'll cross that bridge if it comes up.

Just to let everyone know - we've got something of an infirmary set up by the lighthouse. I worked a little Mary Poppins magic and cleaned the place up, and we're doing our best to track down spare linens, blankets, and plants that will be used for medicinal purposes. I'm not a miracle worker but I am still here to abide by the oath to do no harm - that being said, if you bang yourself up doing something stupid expect at the very least an eyebrow raise. If it's an emergency? Just reach out to me via this device and I can portal to you. Quick service.

Also there are a flock of sheep now penned in, the ones Kaz was talking about. The barrier won't zap you, don't worry, but it will keep the sheep in. It won't zap them either, I promise.

I was speaking with Natasha on her network post regarding anything else we would need to survive here. I inquired about weapons, but she was unsure if anyone possessed any weaponry here. It was suggested I create a post inquiry if anyone arrived with any weaponry on hand. This would be good to know for security purposes as well as for any hunting we may have to do. It would also be good to keep track of who has weaponry.

I am also curious if anyone here has experience tending to livestock. I spotted a flock of sheep on the island on my way to the lighthouse. If we can pen a few, this would be a food source as well as a potential material source.

Even if I'm newly acquainted with multiversal travel, I'm going to go ahead and file this under 'horseshit' and play the introductions game while heeding the advice to stay out of the water and also simultaneously searching for another exit.

Dr. Stephen Strange, former neurosurgeon. Current Master of the Mystic Arts. I've portaled around the island (and cannot portal off the island or else I wouldn't even be making this update) and while it's your typical rustic, bare bones hellhole it also feels very...prickly in some spots. Prickly in a mystical energy sort of way - aka, haunted?

So that's fun. Nice to meet everyone who also somehow got pulled here, even though (no offense) I'm supposed to be elsewhere. Just a little run of the mill incursion, I'm sure everything's fine.
