The stuff on the beach is no joke. I was just out there and found all sorts of things--cutlery and dishes, a box with all sorts of fabric... if only I knew how to sew! As I was collecting up some useful items, out of the corner of my eye I saw these strange heads poking up out of the water. But when I turned back again, they were gone.

Now that we know that things like hound attacks can happen here, we should probably organize a little so the next time is a little less frantic.

Maybe designate people as fighters or healers, have places for them to muster if something happens, make sure there's communication.

I woke up with my scythe next to me. These hounds are so toast.

What a pleasant surprise. My paint brushes turned up; Now I just need to make some paint.

Dr. Saltzman comes through, even from a dimension away.

I wished I had access to the books and weapons in his office. I didn’t get all of them, but I did get a chest full of some decent stuff.

I'm used to weird, but this a whole new level of weird. I'm guessing no one has any idea who is behind all of this.

And where do these hounds keep coming from?

I've been trying to use the shadows to send the hounds to where I am to take them out, but as more arrive it's becoming a bit more difficult to keep up.

Even flying overhead to spot them from above is not a reassuring sight.

We're up to about a hundred books in the collection. A lot of them are in fairly poor condition, but still readable. We did have to lose some of the books as they were stained and falling apart... but many others are definitely worth the trouble.

So, it's an honor system. Borrow a book, take good care of it, and then return it when you're finished.

Anyway, I'm Finnick, and I'm going back down to the beach.

Pretty sure we all saw the threats and potential chaos going on in those posts. I'm recommending that we take it for what it is: Bluster brought on by ignorance. "Don't feed the trolls". I'm looking at you, Klaus and Kol.

This is not the time or place to draw lines in the sand. It's a small island.

So we've been here a week now, and lots of people have arrived and lots of people have left.

It would be nice to know who is here, what your strengths are, and what you'd feel most comfortable doing here.

If you have abilities, you can tell us those, too (although that's entirely voluntary).

For me, I'm John. I'm nineteen years old. I'm immune to fire, I can heal, I can talk to animals, and I can copy other people's abilities. I'm working as a healer here.

Freya's gone and this place feels just a little more empty without my older sister.

I've taken it upon myself to start collecting up all the books that I can find in the different houses around the island. I'm putting together a library. If anyone has any books to contribute, it'd be much appreciated. All will be welcome to borrow books from the library.

If anyone is interested in helping me collect some bookshelves, I'd love that, too. I figure I'll put it together in the house where I'm staying. There's plenty of room downstairs, and the place already has two walls covered in shelves.

What’s the deal about not going in the water?

Well this Feast is certainly something, isn't it? I hope that everyone has a chance to get over there before the food all disappears in the morning.

My name is Caroline. I just arrived this morning.

So I spent this morning talking to the animals, trying to figure out if they knew anything we don't, since they've been here longer and all that.

The sheep...hate the church. Not sure why, but they were pretty adamant about that.

The rabbits are...well...horny. And that was about all I got out of them.

The water makes the birds nervous. They seemed most worried about whirlpools and, as they put it, 'grabby things'.

Talking to the seals and dolphins would take going into the water, and after the birds, I wasn't sure that was a great idea.

So this is fun. I've been snatched up by powers unknown and dropped on a desolate rock somewhere near Scotland. And I'm not alone. I have you charming people for company.

So far I've gathered the following advice from reading your mail:
Do not fuck with the ghost at the docks.
Do not go into the lighthouse, or at least not to the upper floors.
Do not go into the water.
Do not go into the church full of burning, angry ghosts. (ETA)

Hello. For those that do not know me, my name is Kaz and I am one of those stranded here.

I am creating this post to inform everyone of what myself and Nina discovered on the second floor of the lighthouse yesterday. For one, the lighthouse appears to be haunted. I'm not sure if it is related to the young girl ghost that infected the man at the beach.

Now, on to the contents of the desk on the second floor. Nina and I searched the desk and we found the following items of interest: bottles of dried up ink, parchment that appears to be similar to the parchment used to write our arrival notes, a photo of a young woman, and a logbook/diary.

Pages of the diary are ripped out, but those that remain tell a rather interesting, but disturbing story. Some of the writing hints at the reason we were warned away from the water. The shortened tale is it appears that daughter of the lighthouse keeper was kidnapped by pirates. In revenge, it seems he made a deal and the deal entailed creatures or 'beasties' in the sea. He ensured the pirates crashed on the rocks and the creatures took them. Now, he made it sound as if they would be enslaved by the creatures.

About three months after this, someone arrived to relieve the lighthouse keeper and he found the man dead. It appeared he committed suicide. The details were gruesome. Afterwards, his replacement seemed to experience signs of a possible haunting.

Anyone can have a look at the items we found. I'm open to interpretations and ideas.
