This place is beginning to feel more like a cruel prank than anything. I've lost them all over again

I'm not sure what to think about our somewhat benevolent captors sending home so many people after giving us a nice, easy day with plenty of food yesterday.

Can those of you who are still here please check in? I'm trying to keep a list of who is around and it's hard to keep up.

The people from under the water seem very friendly and kind. They certainly provided us with things that we can use to make life a little easier.

Has anyone spoken to the creatures appearing in the water? It appears that they're trying to help us, but we won't know for sure until we make contact.

They look like the people who saved me when I got pulled overboard retrieving stuff from the ship.

So, I guess they're mostly safe? Or at least mostly safe to us?

Survivors will find more items on the beach, but now see heads poking up from the water's surface. Interactions can be had.

Now that we know that things like hound attacks can happen here, we should probably organize a little so the next time is a little less frantic.

Maybe designate people as fighters or healers, have places for them to muster if something happens, make sure there's communication.

Maybe it'll never happen again but it's good to be prepared.

Anyone had a list of things they need from foraging? I'm going to do a run of the island and don't want to waste my time

Um, hi? Never received an ominous letter and communication device upon arriving to a universe but, I've always wanted a phone and to see what the big deal was soooooooo, plus?

Can anyone direct me to where I might find this food? I assume the letter means other people from the multiverse, but I've been wrong before. Others doesn't mean ancient inhabitants, does it?

If it does that's cool. We can be friends. Why can't I leave!?!

I GOT IT! I found it! I know how to get rid of the hounds. Everybody find some chalk or something to draw with. Go to corners and draw a curve in front of them. It blocks the corner with roundness. It'll take a while, but eventually the hounds will have less and less access, grow bored and find something else to do.

I am glad that wishing worked. I awoke to find a bow and arrows I haven't seen in years - but at least now I can better fight these foul creatures.

So much for being left alone.

If anyone needs help, please let me know. Back in my world, I fight things like this. Well, not these ones exactly, but I once fought hellhounds.

I try to keep my swearing to a minimum, but what the ever-loving hell are these things?

My family and I are heading towards the gardens to help defend them from these beasts. Some help would be appreciated and likewise, if you need defending you can come there as well. There seems to be no end to the attackers no matter how many we kill.

So we've been here a week now, and lots of people have arrived and lots of people have left.

It would be nice to know who is here, what your strengths are, and what you'd feel most comfortable doing here.

If you have abilities, you can tell us those, too (although that's entirely voluntary).

For me, I'm John. I'm nineteen years old. I'm immune to fire, I can heal, I can talk to animals, and I can copy other people's abilities. I'm working as a healer here.

Somehow I don't think I'm in Massachusetts anymore.

Kyle was a friend. Maybe he'll come back? Idk.

He also helped watch out for Lucky while I was off doing other things. Which means I need someone else to help me take care of him sometimes. It's not hard--Lucky's the best dog to ever dog. He spends most of his day just lounging around.

Also, if anyone likes hanging out with dogs. I'll volunteer him. He's good at cuddles and loves chasing tennis balls and sticks.

I'm aware there are a few of you here who require blood. I'm happy to offer up some of mine. Probably not for all of you, though, due to...I'm only one Netherling.

But if you require some, please reach out and I'll see what I can do.

In case we haven't met, I'm Hayley. I met Nick at the feast and have spoken with Clayton. I was thinking that we should all meet up. Unless I'm mistaken, our kind works better as a group. Did anyone notice a set of steps in the center of the island before? They don’t appear to lead anywhere. But I don’t remember seeing them on earlier sweeps of the terrain.

After the creepy message a few hours ago about people being sent back to their lives, we're being thanked for our "efforts" with actual real food.

I'd strongly encourage everyone to get down to the pier by the white house and eat between now and sun up. We have no idea when we might get food like this again.

So I spent this morning talking to the animals, trying to figure out if they knew anything we don't, since they've been here longer and all that.

The sheep...hate the church. Not sure why, but they were pretty adamant about that.

The rabbits are...well...horny. And that was about all I got out of them.

The water makes the birds nervous. They seemed most worried about whirlpools and, as they put it, 'grabby things'.

Talking to the seals and dolphins would take going into the water, and after the birds, I wasn't sure that was a great idea.

So this is fun. I've been snatched up by powers unknown and dropped on a desolate rock somewhere near Scotland. And I'm not alone. I have you charming people for company.

So far I've gathered the following advice from reading your mail:
Do not fuck with the ghost at the docks.
Do not go into the lighthouse, or at least not to the upper floors.
Do not go into the water.

Hi, I'm new here. Michelle Webster. Colonel Carter suggested I reach out to you, since Eliot and Kaz were dealing with cattle and sheep, and Kate hunts. I know how to raise and care for livestock, but more importantly, I know how to butcher animals for meat and hides.

Kate, have you seen rabbits on the island? If we can capture some alive, breeding them would be easier and more reliable than hunting them.

If anyone knows what's going on here or where we are, I'd love to know.

I've combed through the posts that have been made so far and compiled a list of what people are working on/have discovered so far. Let me know what I'm missing.

I've got a PhD in Astrophysics and have a lot of improvisational skills with building equipment and tech on the fly. This probably won't be useful unless we find a power source somewhere.

I do have to say it's heartening to see how people have come together already. This could have very easily gone another way.
