This place is beginning to feel more like a cruel prank than anything. I've lost them all over again

I'm not sure what to think about our somewhat benevolent captors sending home so many people after giving us a nice, easy day with plenty of food yesterday.

I've been in a lot of life and death situations. I can only assume this is my brain's way of protecting me from the trauma.

Because I really don't know what other explanation there is.

I know more people are arriving every day and for some that means a significant other. If there are any couples, or really anyone, who would like some soundproofing, I’m more than happy to cast the appropriate spell to help with a little privacy. I would very much like to encourage all of our residents to come by the Infirmary for physical examinations. If you are comfortable with it, of course. Especially those who have any concerns, having been brought here from your own worlds.

Records would, of course, be kept strictly confidential. It would be good to have a baseline, just in case of illness or injury--to help our medical team best meet your healthcare needs.

After a conversation I had with Nick, it seems that it might be a good idea for us to compare our worlds. --the ones we came from, anyway. We can see if there are commonalities, see if that leads us to ideas as to why we we chosen for this place?

I am going to burn this fucking place down.

After the creepy message a few hours ago about people being sent back to their lives, we're being thanked for our "efforts" with actual real food.

I'd strongly encourage everyone to get down to the pier by the white house and eat between now and sun up. We have no idea when we might get food like this again.

The following were determined not to be well suited for this endeavor and have been returned to their lives.

Ray's gone. I had a friend in this place and now Sent... back to his life? We didn't have a chance to spend much time together here, but he was from my home. I'm gonna miss him.

Should we... is there something we should do? When people are sent away?

So I spent this morning talking to the animals, trying to figure out if they knew anything we don't, since they've been here longer and all that.

The sheep...hate the church. Not sure why, but they were pretty adamant about that.

The rabbits are...well...horny. And that was about all I got out of them.

The water makes the birds nervous. They seemed most worried about whirlpools and, as they put it, 'grabby things'.

Talking to the seals and dolphins would take going into the water, and after the birds, I wasn't sure that was a great idea.

So this is fun. I've been snatched up by powers unknown and dropped on a desolate rock somewhere near Scotland. And I'm not alone. I have you charming people for company.

So far I've gathered the following advice from reading your mail:

My name's John Smith. I have the ability to heal. I don't need any supplies and I'm not medically trained, but I just lay my hands on the injury and I can mentally heal it. I know that sounds like some faith-healing thing that doesn't actually work, but it's not like that at all, and it does actually work. I've brought people back from the verge of death.

Just to let everyone know - we've got something of an infirmary set up by the lighthouse. I worked a little Mary Poppins magic and cleaned the place up, and we're doing our best to track down spare linens, blankets, and plants that will be used for medicinal purposes. I'm not a miracle worker but I am still here to abide by the oath to do no harm - that being said, if you bang yourself up doing something stupid expect at the very least an eyebrow raise. I'm Natasha. By my count, there are at least a few dozen of us who found ourselves here yesterday. Many of us gathered at the lighthouse last night and I think we need to coordinate our efforts to explore and determine what supplies we have available.

Dr. Snow mentioned setting up an infirmary area. Eliot suggested exploring nearby buildings and potential food sources. I think it might also be a good idea for us to set up some kind of security watch system since we have no idea what we're dealing with and the letter implied there are threats we could face.

So that's food, shelter, medical, and security. What else do we need to do?
