I'm going to stay in the feast hall tonight, where the food is. But tomorrow I need to find someplace to live. Given the head start that a number of people have had, I expect that the most desirable (i.e., those requiring the least repair) cottages have been claimed. Also, many hands make light work. So.

Is anyone in the market for a housemate?

I can contribute to the repair and maintenance of said building. I am a pretty fair jack-of-all-trades, no stranger to hard work, and I can cook, among other skills. My mentors were strong believers in Heinlein's dictum that specialization is for insects.

I'd strongly encourage everyone to get down to the pier by the white house and eat between now and sun up. We have no idea when we might get food like this again.

Hello. For those that do not know me, my name is Kaz and I am one of those stranded here.

I am creating this post to inform everyone of what myself and Nina discovered on the second floor of the lighthouse yesterday. For one, the lighthouse appears to be haunted. I'm not sure if it is related to the young girl ghost that infected the man at the beach.

Now, on to the contents of the desk on the second floor. Nina and I searched the desk and we found the following items of interest: bottles of dried up ink, parchment that appears to be similar to the parchment used to write our arrival notes, a photo of a young woman, and a logbook/diary.

Pages of the diary are ripped out, but those that remain tell a rather interesting, but disturbing story. Some of the writing hints at the reason we were warned away from the water. The shortened tale is it appears that daughter of the lighthouse keeper was kidnapped by pirates. In revenge, it seems he made a deal and the deal entailed creatures or 'beasties' in the sea. He ensured the pirates crashed on the rocks and the creatures took them. Now, he made it sound as if they would be enslaved by the creatures.

About three months after this, someone arrived to relieve the lighthouse keeper and he found the man dead. It appeared he committed suicide. The details were gruesome. Afterwards, his replacement seemed to experience signs of a possible haunting.

Anyone can have a look at the items we found. I'm open to interpretations and ideas.
