I'm not sure what to think about our somewhat benevolent captors sending home so many people after giving us a nice, easy day with plenty of food yesterday.

Can those of you who are still here please check in? I'm trying to keep a list of who is around and it's hard to keep up.

I didn't have the heart to tell our merfriends I didn't need the help underwater.

It seems the island can be generous. Now I have my sword. Who needs help?

Figured it was about time I said hello. So yeah. I'm Gale. Been here a couple days. Still not sure what to think.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I thought I'd share something of myself.

I'm immortal. I can die, but I come back to life. I thought I'd tell people before something happened that might be...shocking.

Well that was a rather unpleasant trip to my past.

Did anyone notice a set of steps in the center of the island before? They don’t appear to lead anywhere. But I don’t remember seeing them on earlier sweeps of the terrain.

After a conversation I had with Nick, it seems that it might be a good idea for us to compare our worlds. --the ones we came from, anyway. We can see if there are commonalities, see if that leads us to ideas as to why we we chosen for this place?

Obviously, share only what you are comfortable sharing. No one is going to press anyone for details.

For me, I come from a place called Central City in Missouri. Apparently it doesn't exist in everyone's world.

Since the person who penned the cows in unfortunately (or maybe fortunately depending on how you look at it?) disappeared, I wasn't sure how the magic would hold up so I went ahead and made a similar barrier to the one that holds the sheep. The cows are grazing and are protected. Because people obviously come and go, that means we sort of need to be discretionary about hunting and whatnot - not that anyone has gone and butchered cows as far as I know, but having some sort of system in place for breeding and butchering ensures a successful farm life (save for the inevitable hiccups that always occur when you're trying to maintain a farm). Where are all my other farm people at? I say 'other' I mostly mean 'you' because I haven't revisited that life in ages.

Anyway, vegan soap was next on my list (and it was discussed a little at the feast) so we don't have to butcher animals quite yet - if anyone wants to come with me to see what's out there in terms of alternatives for making soap, I could use an explorer buddy or two.

Hello? I found a note and this phone. The note says I'm trapped here, and that there are others as well. I'm Michelle Webster. I've been reading some of the text chains on this phone. Is this for real?

I found fresh water sources after flying.

They're more or less in the centre of this island.

I can winnow people there if necessary, now that I know where I'm going.
