What's the fucking point in bringing people here just to send them away?

For those who wish, the merfolk will gladly take survivors to their city beneath where a feast will be held in their honor. More in depth interactions can be had. (Touch base with Krista if you have a request.) A LOT can be learned.

A bag of supplies was left with my name this morning. It appears to be items for hygiene and grooming. Does this sort of thing happen often here?

After talking to Sharon, it occurred to me that I should make an announcement. After the first feast, I saved some tomato and pepper seeds in hopes that they wouldn't vanish, and I could plant them. They didn't, and I did. After the most recent feast I, and some others, made an effort to save enough food for a couple of days. We probably should have said something after the first feast, but didn't. Frankly, I assumed everyone knew because some of us posted about it. But people may not have hung on my every word, as it turns out. Mea culpa.

So.
If there is another feast--and I hope that there will be--everyone should come prepared to carry off some extra food. If you have any containers, especially ones that you can seal, bring them. Especially plastic ones (there may not be any, but plastic lasts a long time, so...there might be some tucked away somewhere on the island). Even without refrigeration some foods will keep for several days.

Also--among all the people here with powers: is there anyone who can create ice, or just make things cold? If so, perhaps we can establish a communal ice house or something similar.

Sydney, could we reach out to someone on the list of volunteers? It's getting to the point that I need to feed. I've been trying to last as long as possible since my last feeding at home.

It was nice of whoever brought us here to provide food for everyone and a chance to enjoy not having to worry for even a few minutes.

We need to try and figure out a way for Christian and I to feed. I'm doing my best by eating regular meals, but it's not going to keep us surviving for very long. Do we trust anyone enough to ask?

Just to let everyone know - we've got something of an infirmary set up by the lighthouse. I worked a little Mary Poppins magic and cleaned the place up, and we're doing our best to track down spare linens, blankets, and plants that will be used for medicinal purposes. I'm not a miracle worker but I am still here to abide by the oath to do no harm - that being said, if you bang yourself up doing something stupid expect at the very least an eyebrow raise. Also there are a flock of sheep now penned in, the ones Kaz was talking about. The barrier won't zap you, don't worry, but it will keep the sheep in. It won't zap them either, I promise.

If you can see this you are either a vampire or the Ally of the vampires and I am making this post because a good friend here brought up a good point....how are we going to handle feedings for us?

Hello, my name is Padmé.

I know that there have been a few posts here about people asking about resources or information, and from what I can gather we're all in the same situation. I propose that we meet at a central location: the lighthouse at the northern point of the island. I took a look at the interior myself to distract myself from worry about , and it appears there are some supplies - food and cooking implements - as well as beds and blankets that don't seem to be too damaged.

If we all go there, we can take a count of how many of us are here and work together to make sure everyone has something to eat and can rest as we work out our next steps.
