I also have a question, concerning that image of Batman with an orange(?) chainsaw. I can't find the image but someone here has an icon of it. Does anyone know the context of it?

ETA: Thanks to everyone who answered, I knew I could count on s_d! I didn't know chainsaws were appropriate autopsy equipment, but I've been wrong before.

It was Black Canary/Green Arrow, 2 or 3, I think. Batman and Dr. Midnite were going to do an autopsy on . . . someone but it was really Everyman, and it might have been a bluff, or something. BC/GA 1, and it was an autopsy of Green Arrow (really Everyman), who Dinah had killed on their wedding night.

It's even more hilarious in context, as right before that scene, Dinah says something like "I can handle this autopsy as long as you don't chop him up and put him in a blender", and Dr. Midnite replies "That's almost exactly what we're planning to do" as Batman revs up the chain saw.

It's from the first arc of Green Arrow/Black Canary, when everyone thought Green Arrow was dead, the Bat and Dr Mid-Nite did an autopsy on the body. Mid-Nite told Canary she probably didn't want to be there to watch it, but she insisted on staying. Then the Bat brought out the saw.

	Lian has been threatened, kidnapped, and almost killed several times. The worst of which, I think, was in Outsiders when she was kidnapped by child slavers (same group Grace escaped from years before) and gave her a tattoo on her lower back. Thanks John Walsh! (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

In normal, real world autopsies, they're not.

But normal, real world autopsies don't involve chopping the corpse into tiny pieces and running it through a food processor (more or less).

(It's not actually a chainsaw, FTR. It's some sort of jumbo reciprocating saw.)

	Autopsies do actually make use of reciprocating saws, to cut through the sternum and get to the juicy organs beneath. However, they tend to be, y'know, wieldable one-handed, for all that implies in both size and shape. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I am deeply, deeply saddened that Google returns no results for "reciprocating bra" as a phrase, and in particular no image results. Even with safesearch off.

But aye, I can sympathize. I often get lost google-checking to make sure I'm not spouting crap that I only think that I know. And really, I chose to stick my reply onto yours only because putting it anywhere else would require a rehash of the point that it is not a chainsaw as you had already pointed out, rather than to rebut your comment.

	I'm not saying that Lian being caucasian is wrong, it's just not how she's been drawn for a fair few years. I have no idea how old Roy is here, I picked up the issue at a yard sale, I've never regularly followed Teen Titans. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	How old is Roy here? 19 or 20? Something like that, maybe a little older. At least that's about how old Dick must be - Roy learned about Lian's existence when Jason was Robin, and obviously this is later, so Dick could be from 19 to 21. Roy's case is a little more complicated since according to some versions of canon, he doesn't know how old he is. (Reply to this) (Parent)
