Earth is a hell of a lot different than the one I left behind, but some things haven't changed at all. I guess that's kinda comforting and kinda scary at the same time. They say you can't go home again and I guess that's true, but if this is as close as I'm getting, I'm gonna make the most of it.

It still astonishes me how much variety there is here. It's...amazing to think of sometimes. I mean the candy alone is so varied. We didn't have many things like this on the Ark and definitely not on the ground back home. I can't wait to try all of it. I wish Madi was here. She would love this holiday so much. Dressing up and the candy? I wish I could share it with her.

I am quite looking forward to that Halloween party and all the costumes. It should be fun.

Maybe this galaxy isn't so different from mine after all.
