I guess I've arrived just in time for New Years, huh?

So, anyway. Hi, I'm Buffy. And I think I need to dress shop, cause I have nothing to wear.

I know I've met some of you at the party, but I realize I didn't really introduce myself with my first greeting.

I'm Violet. Dash is my younger brother, and we both came from a place called Atlantis. Well, really our hometown is called Metroville. However, Atlantis has been our home for, years really.

A little about me, I like to read, a lot. My favorite books are the Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Doctor Who is one of my favorite shows and my favorite colors are purple and blue.

I can also turn invisible and I can create a force field, which I can use in different ways. I'm also pretty good at fighting with a quarterstaff.

It's weird to think I'll have to start over, Atlantis has been my home for so long now, I didn't think of the possibility of being in a new place. Change can be good, but this time of year tends to make me homesick and now I miss two homes.

I've always loved Christmas, even when I didn't really grasp what it was about. It's difficult not to love something that involves presents and sweets when one is a little boy - or it was for me, at least. My most memorable Christmas was actually rather awful at the time, but it was also the first where I started to look at the season - and myself differently. I haven't been perfect in my life - or even in this year or this week or this day - but Christmas reminds me that there is always light in the darkness.

Not that I ever drank anything alcoholic in Atlantis since I was under eighteen, even if it wouldn't affect me anyway.

There's a job for a few folks willing to play janitor. Sounds like a techie kind of thing, so I figure we can give Wanda a break this time. Dash here, in my new capacity as busboy at the Sadtech Lounge, I am issuing an open challenge to anyone who thinks they can build a better gingerbread house during the event tomorrow. Teams okay, I guess, unless the boss says otherwise.

Question: what is cotton candy and why is it worth celebrating? Is it worth celebrating? I looked up the pictures, but they don't really explain.
