( No Day, But Today )

A long red carpet leads from the parking lot to the lobby of the school gym, decorated for pictures of the happy couples and groups. From there, the carpet leads to the gym, which is decked out in red and black balloons and silver stars.

There's an actual DJ this time near the “bar” where drinks are being served...well, sodas and water. It's high school, what do you want? There's tables scattered about the edges of the dance floor, with red tablecloths and movie-themed centerpieces.

Have fun, kids. Try not to get into too much trouble.

It was one of those days that Mike just didn't feel like going home, it wasn't that there was anything unpleasent going on at home, he just would rather do anything but sit at home and do homework.

So, there he stood in the middle of the auditorium stage. He felt a little ridiculous, standing in such a large room alone, but he wanted to work on some of his dance moves. He hadn't been to a dance class in years, but luckily Youtube had a great collection of how-to dance routines that he wasn't terribly familiar with.

Using the stereo he was "borrowed" from the boys locker room, he let some music fill the room for a few long moments before he started moving to play and he started to move to the beat.

Mike stared at the mirror in the employees bathroom, frowning at the sight before him. Black pants, white dress shirt, red vest and that pad in his pocket to take orders with- not something comfortable or even sexy- just servitude to those who couldn't even say 'Chang' with out sounding like a redneck. He'd texted Ricky an hour before, but God only knew if Ricky had gotten it, or would actually come since Mike's shift was about to end: which meant the flat that Mike lived in would be empty. Which meant they could mess around.

Walking out of the bathroom he took a few more orders and then hung his vest up for the night, hopefully looking for Ricky as he walked towards his home.
