Khaos was going too far again, planting people in an asylum. He had not heard from any of his siblings but he was sure if one of them was locked up he would heard about it soon. It appeared those in the asylum could communicate.

A toy fell from his son's hand with a clatter loud enough to stir him from his musings for the moment. He looked down to see the boy now occupied with Fiona, who had become rather tolerate of his son. A hand mildly ran over Nikolaas' head as the child sat, occupied with putting his hands all over the soft cat. His affection even toward his siblings (excluding Hypnos, Hypnos was always an exception) had been limited and to his child it couldn't be any different. Ma'at would make up for it (she was softer in her own way, better at all this).

And if this game affects him, I'll strangle Grandmother myself, he thought darkly.

If they could just finally get their hands on her.

If one more person gets on my fucking case about my living situation, someone will get hurt. And I have the means to get away with it no matter what I just said. They should be more satisfied that my wife and I are still married instead of nitpicking about our living apart. Nosiness exists no matter what era you get into but it seems almost stronger right now.

Also, I didn't know we were dealing with drive-by shootings on top of the risk of being labeled crazy. How nice.

I'm alright. Just got a few scratches from some flying glass. This sort of violence is much more my style. Less following orders. Laying low for a bit.

Don't go into the office tomorrow. Day off with pay. You see anyone following you, you let me know and I'll take care of it.
[/FILTERED]

I think I'm adjusting to this era rather nicely. Not saying I want to stick around but at least I get to do something that resembles my job back home. Also, I'm not married to Athena someone I don't care about and my kids are here. That puts it easily above some of the other places.

[FILTERED PRIVATE]
Never really considered myself the sort to like a mob job. Something to consider if we ever get home.

[There was something both soothing and awkward about their current predicament at the hands of Khaos, which was filling Eve with all manner of conflicted feelings. On one hand, she felt comfortable in this era, wearing a dress and being useful for her skills as a potential wife and mother, but on the other hand she couldn't find Adam after reuniting with him so recently. She wouldn't say their first meeting had gone well, but it had been a start, and she was looking forward to continuing working towards some sort of relationship with him -- be it friendly or something more.

Whenever she found her gaze drawn to the asylum, she'd get a sinking feeling in her chest. She wondered if anyone she knew was in there, and what she would do if they were. After a few moments of contemplation, she would simply bow her head and pray that anyone she might know inside those foreboding walls had the strength to survive.]

The baby is due any day now and I'm hoping that she can wait for us to be back in our regular time since I'd really like to have the doctor I'm familiar with taking care of the birth. However, I guess I should try and find a doctor here just in case. Or, see if anyone around knows about delivering babies, since I don't want anything to happen to me and Hypnos' little girl.

Also, I really want chili cheese fries, but some guy gave me a really mean look when I went to go and get some. He said women in my condition shouldn't be driving, but I don't think that's true. Still, he was kind of scary... not as scary as the people shooting at each other though.
