[War would never yield to anyone. War couldn't be restrained, bound or controlled. It was meant to run free, burn and consume everything in its path. She might be trapped in a human form but War was still War. There were things War did not know how to handle, feelings, attachments, friendship, family - she was the one thing that broke all else.
The ring weighed heavily on her finger, even as War toyed with the idea of taking it off, she couldn't. War was bloody and wild, but she value her word, an oath, a vow. It didn't stop her from considering the Biblical repercussions of killing archangels. She twirled the ring, feeling the band warm against her skin. What she felt (or more like, what she didn't feel) was confusing. But Gabriel had started this. What came for the Horsemen after the Apocalypse? War never thought of that, or cared. Besides, what place would any Horsemen have in Paradise? (Wasn't the point not to have them?)
War didn't take off the ring- she didn't want to. And it wasn't that she was a wife or had any desire to start a family, or anything like that. It was an irrationality born from the fine line between the Horsemen and the person. War knew there was more than one truth to this matter, and until she, and Gabriel figured it out - the issue was best left alone by everyone else.]
