[Heimdall had been captured. Her little brother had finally been apprehended by Ryuju-Jo, by a ruler who was so intent on seeing him put to death. There was no hope for Heimdall now that Ryuju-Jo had him in their claws. They would try him, and then what? The emperor was not a kind man, one ruled by compassion. If he had anything else in mind outside of her brother's slow and painful death, she wouldn't believe it.

Upon hearing the news from her queen, she'd been silent. There was no room for complaint. Deep in her heart, Igraine had understood that her brother wouldn't be able to escape for long, but she'd prayed every night that he would be free for as long as possible. Unlike the emperor, her heart knew compassion. But like him, she knew of pain of being betrayed. To be thrown aside like that -- it had struck a deep chord in her.

The wall outside of her queen's quarters had been a comfort as she pressed her weight into it, closing her eyes and counting to ten in her head. But rather than fear washing over her, all that came was understanding. Understanding that in days, maybe weeks time, her brother would die. It was inevitable now, and disbelief was not a viable option. Heimdall was going to die. He was going to die, and she would never see her little brother again.

No tears fell, but her heart would slowly, like Heimdall would in time, die a painful death.

We need to speak immediately -- in person.

It's been decided that we will speak with Camelot regarding the breach of their borders. We cannot promise that no harm will come to a Camelotian citizen, not while we're away from the war here in Iriy and promises mean little in war, but we can assure them that should anyone seek to harm us, we will return the favor in kind.

While our war is with Niflheim, Camelot's troops may enter the fray if Niflheim continues to believe that they can cut us off through Camelot.

Your thoughts?

Chancellor, my condolences for your injuries.

As you are aware, we fight with Niflheim on Babylonian territory. But war is not easily contained, and as I'm sure you are already aware, Niflheim has crossed over into Camelot. Our troops, too, have crossed the border to engage them. This was not a unanimous decision, however, as our Marshal took it upon herself to engage them without our consent.

We are sending our Ambassador to Camelot to speak of things further. Written words mean so little as of late.

I thought you all should know that I'm enjoying my time in Babylon quite a bit. The prince is a good host and has been taking excellent care of me. I hope things are going well back home, I miss you all.

Babylon is a really pretty place to visit, although I'm not sure I'd want to live here all the time. Though, the people I've met so far are wonderful.
