I find myself in need of company for a formal dinner, male or female. Those who I do know here, I'll make an effort to be a proper date. Maybe with some alcohol in the mix, someone will cough up whatever's going on.

I actually took the time to sit down and play some music today. It was relaxing. Of course, then I remembered I had to study so I switched to my computer. Of course then I got sidetracked looking around on youtube for a little while.

I found this when searching around. If I were any good at singing...well, I still wouldn't be able to do that. I'm not going to pretend otherwise. I'm still not sure about these electric violins, but I'm impressed by the singing part! Anyway...I better go back to homework. Almost all done! Finally! Definitely going to bed early. Ugh.

One of my professors decided to broach the topic of boy bands making a comeback today, and played One Direction's 'What Makes You Beautiful', which is an appropriately fluffy tweenybopper-type song, and I have no shame in admitting that I danced my ass off. Then, my friend Darren played the parody by Key of Awesome. It was hysterical, but the professor was so not amused.

I love coming home to find UPS left me a surprise, and oh, what a surprise it was. My father sent me a new flute for my birthday, isn't it gorgeous? I'll have to practice with it before my final. I can't wait to try it out. As it gets closer to the actual day I turn twenty-four, I've been trying to come up with ways to celebrate my birthday while being mindful of the fact that I've got a two hour lecture at 9:15am on Tuesday. I'm thinking someone should at least offer to buy me a drink, but if that doesn't work I'll make my own fun. I always do.
