For a first post, is it acceptable to wax lyrical about a beautiful merino-silk blend I laid hands on today? If not, too bad. I was always much better at talking about wool than about myself.

Ah, so, look. I, well, I feel like I am interrupting something here. Something odd, really. But I am only here because my cousin would not stop pestering sending me these invites.

He made me do it, I swear.

And St. Patrick's Day is almost upon us. Which isn't me going on and inquiring about your plans. Someone else can poke about and ask all what they'll be doing. I'm sure you all can gather and have fun that way, too. Those of you that can drink. Those who can't...you'll find a way.

Was thinking about heading away for the weekend but changed me mind after arranging a little something with freckled and easy on the eyes.

We'll worry about introductions, family issues and other nonsense after the weekend.

I find myself in a rather interesting predicament of my own making, and I come here seeking some advice. As of tomorrow morning I'll be babysitting a lovely child, and I find myself at a loss for ideas on how to keep her entertained.

I suppose taking her to the parade and the park are both possibilities, however if anyone has suggestions or would like to assist me please do let me know.

I suppose if all goes well I shall have to send mother flowers or something as a thanks for the distraction. Having Sophie around will be just the impetus I need to stop myself from drinking to keep the nightmares at bay, I would think.
