A year since I brought you all to me, a year. It is time we met face to face, Godlings. My name is Khaos and your lives will be ending shortly. And most assuredly painfully.

What did you think, that everything was just a coincidence? There are none. You're mine, all of you. Bending, breaking, twisting beneath my will and desires. You feed me and I keep you from becoming nothing.

Did you like my friends? Those who have been watching you alongside me? Your arrogance brought your downfall before little ones. It will soon end and you will be nothing- not gods, not mortals, no souls- nothing but forgotten stories the mortals tell poorly.

Good-bye.

[Khaos' words would've normally ruined Hebe. Had her heart running a thousand miles, or pacing nervously. But instead she was quietly resigned, having been happier in the last week or so than she could remember. If death was coming, she'd let it take her. How could she fight against something like death? How could anyone?

It was coming, and she'd accept that.

[Comforting the living relations of the deceased, the underworld, decay - she was once responsible for such things and more. If death had been coming for her under normal circumstances, perhaps she would have accepted that, would have said her good-byes and let it happen.

This was normal or right. This was some goddess - some
Greek goddess - on a power trip apparently. Something had to be done and someone had to at least get the ball rolling.]

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am not a leader. I dislike it and I find I don't do well in such a position. However, I do wish to stress that that announcement cannot be tolerated.

Does anyone have any ideas? Any at all?

It was the mother of Nyx and Erebus who was bringing their end. That must be unpleasant for the Nyx children. To know Grandmama was going to end them all. And how that was a very unpleasant threat. The goddess in her especially did not appreciate being told she would be a poorly-told tale. Even if mortals were fairly bad at grasping the gravity of her story at times. Not all but most.

I really do not want to be a Twilight-tale, she mused, rubbing her hands together. I really, truly do not. Hades was a manipulative bastard. Oh yes, I said it. Bastard. His wife surely is allowed the truth. Should he not like it, he will have to change his way. Though I hope he shall not. A kind Underworld lord is a laughable one.

Ah, Hades. With winter having started, she should have been with him and now it seemed she was going
somewhere. And as she wrapped another blanket around herself so snug and well, she wondered if her husband was not waiting for when she perished. Standing somewhere, eyes as cool as his hands, his heart.

It would make this year so much better if he was.
