TIME UPDATE

Day 43.

Weather: Mid 70s. The storm from last night has passed, but it's left behind a grey, cloudy day with occasional drizzling.

Events: First, it's starting to get darker later in the day, with the sun going down around 7:30 now. Either daylight savings time has hit and TPTB changed all the clocks, or they're just deciding that time is an illusion, and who cares what time it is when you don't know the date or what day of the week it is? There are still timestamps on the network posts, though, so probably just that first one.

Anyone who fished yesterday is probably looking forward to their rewards. Good news! Most of it is available immediately! Just about everything in the 1, 5, and 10 fish tiers are waiting in the lodge's main room, all labeled and left over the message on the floor. Just like on the first day. The list of those items can still be found HERE.

There are, obviously, some large things missing from the pile, but they'll all arrive today, too. The first time Kiley & Chase and Edwin & Oliver leave their rooms empty for more than 20 minutes, they'll return to find their new queen sized beds. Same goes for Felix, who will find his room redecorated. All of them may need to move things around to get their room back into living condition, but they've got their upgrades.

All of the single-serving meals don't show up until after 4pm, and those just appear in people's rooms after they leave for a few minutes, just like the furniture. Each single serving appears at the foot of each person's bed, each in their own fancy metal serving tray and cover, to keep dishes hot or cold. Why so late? Because most of the meals seem to be best served as dinner. Around 4pm, or whenever each subject leaves their room after that, they will receive a message on their phone simply stating 'Your order has been delivered'.

There are a lot of food options today, though, because now TPTB will regularly be stocking chicken! Every day there will be twelve whole chickens in the fridge. Each are cleaned, drained and defeathered, but all of the other inside goodies still intact, just as Jack specified. On top of that, a good number of those fish that everyone caught yesterday have been cleaned, deboned, wrapped in tinfoil, and thrown in the freezer. There are a lot of fish filets.

Anyone who asked for a mystery prize will find those in their rooms as well, in wrapped boxes to keep the mystery going for as long as possible. The price tag on these items don't match the tier that they were bought from, but sometimes those mystery boxes do pay off. Chase will find that he has received the Crovel Extreme II. Tobias will find that he's received a Canon Pixma Wireless printer, that has already been connected to his art tablet and his phone. Ink and paper is included.

Finally, Audrey used some of her points to ask TPTB a question. She will find an envelope with her name on it among the prizes in the living room. Inside is a greeting card, with a little cartoon Plague Doctor asking her question: 'What was the specific criteria that you used when choosing me to abduct?' Inside the card is, of course, her answer: 'You were volunteered to us, and we find your affinity for agility fascinating.'

Ivy, Lucy, and Pam also pooled together their points to ask a question, and like Audrey, they all find envelopes with their names on them, and a card with a cartoon plague doctor inside, saying: 'What does the cluster of letters in the 6th and 7th slot of our Subject numbers represent?' Inside, the answer reads: 'These two letters are denoting whether or not the subject is aware (on any level) of their own affinity.'

So that covers prizes.

There's more to be found today, but the last surprise isn't related to yesterday's challenge. There's a brand new tracker marker on the GPS. In the barn, in one of the stalls on the first floor, Lila wakes up. She's groggy, and has no memory of being gone. With her, she has a duffel bag that has five full outfits, a phone and charger, and a $50 voucher for her to use how she'd like (with obvious exceptions), when she'd like. If she goes for her phone right away, she'll find that she still has access to her ExB privileges. Once she chooses a room, she will receive the same stealth outfit that the other ExB members had just a few days ago.

Oh, one more thing. After the sun goes down (which, again, is later tonight than it has been), from time to time, there will be scratching and shuffling sounds coming from any one of the three inaccessible rooms in the lodge, the large locked room in the barn, and the basement and attic in the mill. Both cats are accounted for, so it's not coming from either of them, and they wouldn't be out at the barn or the mill anyway. Maybe there's rats? All of those rooms are locked, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Right?
