Just over a week ago, I found myself on a beach I didn't know, surrounded by people I'd mostly never met, wondering how the hell I could even be alive. Now that I've had a glimpse of what this place is like, whatever and wherever it truly is, it still beats the alternative.

I suppose there's nothing else to do than face whatever future awaits us even as I can see some of you find it more suspect than others. For myself, I hope to take lessons I learned in my last life and make something of this one while I have the chance.

For volunteers we currently have: Gansey, Emma and myself but I am not married to the idea if someone else is really eager to step up or doesn't trust me while I'm detoxing.

What is the leader going to lead? We don't know. Could be a knife fight, could be the adventure in the next room, could be a hike through a forest we don't yet know exists here. Who can tell?

What are you volunteering for? Maybe as a volcanic sacrifice? Maybe to complete a task? Maybe to fight off more Krampus demons? I really can't say and I make no promises.

Do you have your grimoire with you now? I've got my ritual books here, on my end. Perhaps we can add some of mine to yours, to give you other spells to practice. Plus you'll want to add your own work to your grimoire too, to have record of it.

There, that's my contribution. Are we volunteering to get fed to a pit beast, now that's the fucking question.

I mean I'll probably do it anyway but still.

I need to tell you something and you're not gonna fucking like it. I don't even know what it mea I'm at least 70% sure it's not my fault.

So it looks like we've got some decisions to make as a group, and I thought maybe it would be easier to do some brainstorming if we just... talked about it here. If that's okay, anyway, it seemed simpler than trying to round everyone up inside when we can finally go exploring.

So. If anybody's got strong opinions on team names, or who they want to nominate to be in charge... or if you want to put your name up to volunteer, here and now is a good time to speak up.
