THE END
After the ghost of Lord Reginald Carstairs is finally sent off to hell where he belongs, a sudden calm falls over the house. A flood of warmth flows from room to room over a matter of minutes, and as each room is touched, it's restored to its former stately glory. The books are all neatly stacked on shelves in the library, the lounge is no longer charred, and the bedrooms slowly change from manifestations of various nightmares into sweet, stately guest bedrooms.
Ronan, Ava and Wade Wilson witness a transformation of a different kind. In the wine cellar, King Ratchard's rodent appearance melts away as
David Frontenac le Brook's spirit is released from the curse he placed himself under to torment the man who hurt his sister.
The individuals who have been trapped in the house, noticing the changes, slowly gather in the front hallway to exchange stories with each other about what's happened and to hear more details about Constantine's plan to end the ghost and free them from the house.
The chatting is suddenly silenced by a loud
click noise from the front door. The locks that have kept it magically locked seem to have been released, and the door slowly inches open. There, standing just outside the threshold, is the spirit of Yvette Frontenac le Brook, glittering in the sunlight, she smiles at the onlookers and steps backwards as the door opens wider before fading into the light of the outdoors.
Step through the Door?
