Instead of working to kill those rats, apparently they were invited to bunk with people but I think we can hunker down in the ballroom for tonight, at least, if not indefinitely. As long as you don't mind ghost music.

I think the rats might be communicating with one another. Anyone else notice how coordinated they seem? Like they know exactly where to be and when. That or something else is manipulating them. I'd try talking to them, but I've never been good at communicating with rodents. Probably for the best. They don't seem to be much for conversation, anyway.

Since it doesn't have a name, I'll just call it the room I'm staying in "the Lab". There are 38.25 rats (a mean average) in it. Not ideal, but not as bad as some of the other rooms. There are 4 morgue drawers available for those who need somewhere to sleep.

One winter, our barn was infested with rats. They were seeking protection from the cold, and they had managed to get into the feed for the herd. Nearly wiped out our entire stock by the time we managed to rid of them all. Whatever is down in the basement, they must have been feeding on something. What I don't understand is why they have taken so much interest in the paints in this room. I've never seen such behavior.
I've taken my cot with me, but does anyone have spare room?

Final Update: The Rat Humanoid does not seem to be hostile. I see no need to impede anyone from interacting with it - though I strongly suggest you do not do so alone.
2nd Update: Wade Wilson took it upon himself to go into the basement and engage with the creature - prior to my securing of the stairwell. He is reporting that it is humanoid.
While exploring the basement, Mr. Parker and Mr. Stark reportedly stumbled across a large, rat-like creature. Tony sustained a concussion, but the animal did not directly attack.

Well, that room now belongs to the rats, and the bugs, but the bugs are dead so I think the rats have an unfair advantage of being very much alive.
