I'm so close to breaking down.
Jay's had to deal with bullies his whole life. People who took so much from him. They thought they had the right to take from his mother because of what she did for a living. They took from him because they could. They hurt him, hurt his mother... Always the big guy taking from the little guy as he says. He still doesn't like bullies who take from people.
And now, he's only trying to say how he feels about someone doing that here. That he doesn't think people should be able to take from everyone without at least letting them know. So they can find a solution that works for everyone, not just the strongest and the loudest.
He hasn't taken any actions. It's just been words. And he's being threatened for it. For his opinion!
He has as much right to be on the island as anyone. He works so damn hard at the hospital. He cares for everyone even if he can't always say it. He'd never take anything from anyone.
He shouldn't be punished for giving a damn. It breaks my heart. I can't let that happen to him. But I think it might embarrass him if I try to stick up for him.
What do I do? The idea of him being kept from the hospital where he's worked so hard, of being locked away at home, unable to go to the pub with Dad or anywhere with me.
It's all just too much.
