Cirque Nocturne: Messages

Okay, so I'm seeing a bit of consternation and confusion when it comes to how to pay for the clothing one is supposed to wear to all these balls. I realize that we don't necessarily make money that enables us to expend thousands of dollars for just one outfit. But I also realize that I come from a more... privileged stand point than most of those here and that a combination of my "own" money, alongside a healthy portion I've divested from my father's accounts, could certainly help those here in achieving their ball gown dreams.

But this isn't a charity. I've grown somewhat accustomed to the trading/bartering economy. So come at me with your trades, whether it be for something mundane like art for my trailer or something a bit more arcane.

This - whatever this is - annoys the fuck out of me. If you people weren't full of yourselves as is, you are now. I had to send someone to the infirmary because the ass was trying to cut words into the side of a tent.

I think I've perfected my make-up. Less Walking Dead, and more 'haunted soul come back from death'. Or something along those lines. I like it, at any rate. And it doesn't involve large amounts of fake blood, that nonsense is ghastly to get out of my hair.

And my costume is finished as well, so the new act will be premiering tonight. Stop by and see it, if you'd like.

I feel like doing something different, as a nod to the coming holiday. I found this song online, and I cannot make it leave my head. Change is sometimes good, yes? A limited engagement run, just until Halloween, in addition to my other songs.

Now this means I need to figure out what I'm going to wear...

I had really been hoping for Paris this time. Not that I don't love seeing the ruin of Detroit, which has been rough and tumble for a while even on its best days... But Paris would have made me much happier. The shopping, the theater, all the hotel rooms I love and miss.

Is a little glamour too much to ask, really? Kennet, I blame you.

Our stone collector is right, shit time to be stopping into Cambodia. Angkor Wat bit too touristy during the day for my tastes but ancient Hindu temples always have a nice charge about them. Now, lovelies, eat the tourists, not the locals. They're supportive of the supernatural and they get a bit touchy when one shits on the welcome mat. Think we've had enough problems for a bit, hm?

I would like everyone to check in with me, today.
I know last night was very rough for everyone and I hope that any and all injuries are being looked after.
Clean up and Rousties have a lot to do as well, so they need to be looked after first.
All creatures with healing abilities (for others) please report to the Bandaid Station.

Last night the Hunters while attacking all circus employees of supernatural origin also went after the Cauldron at the center. Trying to blind us as it were and stop our travels.

As we still have more nights here, I need to reitterate the dangers of being out around the city. They had been watching us and somehow knew where the weakened points in our defenses were. If a somewhat alive Hunter is found during clean up I would like to speak with him, and I expect all the employees willing to do so kill any and all Hunters they see during the rest of the stay- but, of course, try to do so with as little attention drawn to us as possible and do not go hunting any further than a five mile radius.

My announcement was delayed given the need to make sure things were set with the new location.

As you may have noticed, we are in Ostia or the greater area called Rome.
The beaches are relatively exclusive, but we have our own, again if you have not noticed.
There is an abundance of privacy here during the day so feel free to roam in natural forms if you wish.
There are no days off this stop, so if you are wandering into the city make sure you are back for opening. If you are not there will be punishment for it.

if there are any further problems with things experienced from the last stop, message me so I may deal with them.
Also, when traveling into the city go with a partner. This city attracts many supernaturals yet also attracts many hunters and zealot types.
