You know, The Lady's Table is so so lavish but not oppressively so all at the same time! It's enchanting, really. Monsieur De Chaumont, I know you're not crazy about taking special requests but thank you so so much for making an all vegetarian meal for me! Sooooo decadent. Hmmm. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered a wine sampling?

Good morning. I'm Nik. I hear that today is the Cirque's moving day. I'm jumping the train before you pull out of station, signed a contract a few hours ago. It was too much to pass up, with all the commotion the bunch of you rustled up in our little town here.

So fess up. The hypnotized flash mob in the lobby of Hotel Jerome and the three murder-by-dismemberments. Who's mess what that?

Last night my presence was requested in no fewer than six instances where diners wished to "make the chef aware of their dietary needs." Do I look like a short-order cook or one of those so called celebrity chefs who replace all that is good and delicious in food with abominations like sunflower oil and vegan cheese? If it had been legitimate food allergies, yes, of course I would make allowance. But if you are going to tell me that you only eat gluten-free, raw, paleo-whatever nonsense, then yes, I will request that you remove yourself from the establishment before I lose my temper in front of the other diners.

It's so beautiful here! I want to go hiking in the morning, to see the sunrise in the mountains. Does anyone want to come with me? After last week stuck in AC I just want to be outside.
