Well, I talked to my mom, which made her as happy as she can be without me actually turning up to visit. I keep trying to explain that 'days off' are a bit on the awkward side, but I think mothers as a whole become irrational when they don't get the time they want. She tried to bribe me with her fried chicken and meatloaf... and it might have worked, if Chloe's wasn't better.

That's a secret I plan on taking to my grave, though. Mothers become irrational about their cooking, too.

I know this is a difficult time for everyone, so close to the full moon. I know we're all feeling antsy and probably more than a little snarly. And I know the fresh blood we can still smell isn't helping. I also know that we can all hold it together. If the Ringmaster says we'll be settled in our new place before the full moon, then we will.

Let's just all try to stay on the Zen side until then, okay? We're all short-tempered, but let's do our best to keep it under control.
