It's always strange to be another year older. With the start of a new semester, I always forget until someone sends me a gift. Usually Adrian or Jackson. I want to talk those of you who did. Jackson, the song is lovely and I'll listen to it over and over... and probably beg you to play it again for me.

Alright Hogwarts, Michael Meru here. I figured that as Head boy, I should probably say hi and remind everyone that the new semester is a chance to be who you really want to be and succeed. It's a new year after all and a new start! The regular school rules apply as always. Curfew will be enforced by prefects and teachers. The forbidden forest is always forbidden. (Especially to all the magical creatures fans.) And if you see smoke coming from the eastern corridor on the third floor, please just ignore it. It will go away quickly.

Now for Ravenclaws! Quidditch tryouts are this Friday. Remember, we're going to win this season and best of all, we're going to beat Gryffindor. So let's get some fresh blood out there and eager to play, right?

Also, I just want to remind people that should they wish to find me for my birthday tomorrow. I will not be in the lab. I know how much that pissed everyone off last year.

With everything that has been going on I've completely forgotten to get my school supplies until now which is a first because I love getting them. Getting new quills, new books, picking out parchment. There is just something that I love about it and with school starting less than a week away I need to do it. So that is my mission today.

And since it seems to have become a theme to post pictures of your pets I will post one of Calcifer and Jester.


I took this picture during the very first couple of days we got the kittens. They are all grown up now but Jester hasn't changed. Jester is the white cat he is Nico's where Calcifer is the black cat and she is mine.

So I've been doing two things all day, or well maybe more than two. Whatever. Two main things. I've been listening to an insane amount of Epica's version of The Pirates of the Caribbean. While I do this, I've also been playing Assassin's Creed: Black Flag. The amount of bad assery involved with doing those two things at once, is quite possibly the most bad ass of all bad ass to have ever bad asseryed.

The second thing I've been doing today, is running through the halls in gym shorts and socks, after having waxed the floors to see how far I could slide, and I slid all the way to the stairs and totally jumped off, flipped through the air, and landed almost perfectly on the bottom. Actually not perfectly at all, which is why I have been sitting around playing Assassin's Creed all day.

...I need to somehow make this game better. And perhaps a place where I don't get yelled at for using so much wax...

The game was awesome, until the fucking death eaters came. Bella and I are doing fine, not much damage. Just a little shook up. I can only be thankful that my lovely fiancé was not among the people at the game. Yes, you read right. I am engaged to Ophelia Sinclair. I. I am still getting to know her, so if you see us together: don't interrupt.

Don’t worry, Orestes, I promise to keep her virtue intact until the wedding.

I wish I could bring my Nerf guns to school. So much would be made better in that place with a well aimed dart. A specially spelled dart that is charmed for certain things. Like one that would hit in the middle of the forehead and sprout into a horn. Or not come off.

Or one that would leave a phrase on your head. I like that better. Just shoot someone and leave them with their label. I like that. Label this school my way. Fuck it all. Shoot everyone. No one is exempt from my labeling darts.
