Bellum Letale--A Pre-Made Roleplaying Community

This better not be as much of a disaster as Daniel's post was

As most of you are aware, the Full Moon is less than 48 hours away. Some of you might have made plans to keep yourselves and others safe. Everyone at this time should be aware of what the moon entails - changing into 'stories' or 'fables' which are dormant for the rest of the month. In the past, there's been various people who have been put in danger.

If you're able to stay in your room and keep your fable within their and safe so much the better - a group of us are willing to help with barricades should you need them. We'd like everyone to keep safe and ensure that no one is harmed by events of the moon. Certain people might be able to keep their fables protected by various means - if you need assistance, we'd be happy to help.

Let's keep in mind that everyone here should have the same goal - everyone, no matter what their fable is, needs to be kept protected.

Should you feel unsafe or are willing to move to an area that has better reinforcements and is better prepared for our [...] fable counterparts, there's a proposal for you. If we pooled our money together for a first floor apartment, with the proper preparations, we could have it as a 'safe room' for the moon. This would be temporary, for this moon and perhaps the next, until we know how well it works or have a better plan. If we all chipped in, for the safety of the community, it shouldn't cost that much.

We'd like to elect someone who the community can agree on as being safe to have on guard, for afterwards. While we encourage everyone to come up with a plan to keep themselves and those around them safe, we'd like to know if you need assistance as soon as possible. Time is ticking and we need to get to work now, if preparations need to be made.

I don't think we're going to have time for a full-blown building protection plan at this point. Are we comfortable with something quicker? Hello, everyone! My name is Sherri Salvage, I moved in today. I saw a few people in the halls and the lobby, but I'm afraid I didn't take the time to stop and learn any names. It's been a long day and I'm about to hit the sack, but I thought I'd post a quick hello.

I'm Joss's older sister, I have a B.A. in English, and I'm about a semester away from having a master's in library science. I'll be looking around for a job that relates at least a little to that, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

can't hurt Upon doing a little reading on the boards, I've found consistently that the tenants here seem to have had little to no luck with the police. It wasn't my intention to advertise within the building, but under those circumstances, I see no reason not to.

I do private detective work. If anyone has the sort of problem they would generally go to the police for, feel free to stop by my office ([address]). You can always try me at my apartment, as well, though I'd prefer to know in advance if you plan on stopping in.

I specialize in homicide and missing persons, and I do not do divorce work.

That caveat aside, I'll take on almost any kind of case. And, in case you were wondering, my fee for tenants in the building is nothing. I'd rather see some facsimile of harmony maintained than take your money.

I think we've all realized at this point that we're working outside the bounds of normal law within the building. Luther and I are trying to come up with a plan to handle issues that might pop up within the building, and we wanted input from this group.

Considerations are things like building repairs, preparing for the full moon, handling things that happen outside after the moon, medical care and law enforcement within the building.

Anything posted here remains in confidence. If there's anyone you feel should be included, please come forward with that information. Luther and/or I will respond to anything here, but we want this to be an open forum for discussion.

I can't believe I just spent days reading through the forum. And that I'm asking this. Everyone here has to be crazy. Things like this only happen in stories...

The full moon is in two days, and with recent events, I think we need to do a better job of watching out for each other, in the form of a neighborhood watch. Two men residents per shift, couple shifts per night.
