Hello, everyone! My name is Sherri Salvage, I moved in today. I saw a few people in the halls and the lobby, but I'm afraid I didn't take the time to stop and learn any names. It's been a long day and I'm about to hit the sack, but I thought I'd post a quick hello.

I'm Joss's older sister, I have a B.A. in English, and I'm about a semester away from having a master's in library science. I'll be looking around for a job that relates at least a little to that, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears.

I'm looking forward to meeting you all soon!

Joss's older sister? How are you capable of writing a full sentence?

Don't worry about names, just pick up a Grimms book and you'll figure it out.

Welcome to the madhouse, Sherri. The dark stains are probably not grape juice, the noise is probably not the TV, and yes, we do serve up the crazy 24 hours a day.

You don't use capital letters, a sentence needs a capital letter at the start and punctuation at the end.

it's called non-conformity. and i do use punctuation unlike some people

Non-conformity is doing your homework instead of watching mTV, not ignoring capitalization. And yes, you get two points for punctuation.

Thank you for the welcome. It definitely sounds like there's never a dull moment around here!

When you turn green once a month in addition to the cramps and bloating, you give people a heads up out of common courtesy.

No problem. And you're right - it's always a party.

Thank you, sir! I'm always fairly cautious in a new city, but I will keep your warning in mind.

Welcome to the building, Sherri. I'm Cole - I teach English at the high school a few blocks away, so it's nice to meet a fellow literary fan.

Oh, thank God, someone who isn't spouting warnings.

Hi, Cole! I'll admit, my preferred literary fans are at a lower reading level than high school, but we'll have to talk books sometime. It's very nice to meet you!

Talking books sounds great - and when you teach the same books over and over, a little variety never hurts. All reading levels are fine by me. Did that even make sense? I don't

It's nice to meet you too.

I promise, I don't just read kids' books! Though, some of them are surprisingly well written; I don't remember having anything quite so sophisticated when I was growing up. I do read things meant for adults, occasionally, and I'm sure I'll recognize anything on your curriculum.

Oh, gosh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to babble. Professional hazard, I guess!

Why do people keep moving here?

Welcome to the building. As Joanie aptly put it - things aren't what they seem and you should be careful. We've got a watch up every evening from around sundown to sunrise and there's people who're here to help if something should happen. Don't hesitate to say something, if you see something strange.

[...]

Stranger than the usual.

I'm Inspector Luther.

All the warnings might have done me more good before I signed a contract.

It's nice to "meet" you, Inspector. I'll make sure to let someone know if I see anything strange, but I'm not really sure what's normal here yet.

Be thankful you even have them.

You as well. Normal includes ...magical instances, turning into a character every moon, and the elevator not working. Everything else should be of concern - gunshots, threats, and attacks. They're common, but we don't turn a blind eye.

Oh, wow. I'd definitely be concerned about any of that, other strange things aside. I'll keep an eye out.

I'm Chris Kyle and it's a pleasure to meet you, Sherri. I'm in accountancy so I'm afraid I can't offer any suggestions for what to do with a library science masters, but if you need any help unpacking I can certainly offer my assistance there.

(Consider this as posted before group plot start!)

Hi, Chris! I talked Joss into helping me unpack, but thank you for the kind offer.
