This is to inform everyone of some changes happening around here, and that we will be having a meeting tomorrow to discuss them in greater detail. To summarize the gist of our meeting and its main purpose, I suppose the best thing to do is come out with it.

I am stepping down as Mentor, effective on August 31st, and my successor, chosen for his work in overhauluing our apprentice programme, his commitment to our brotherhood, his willingness to work for our greater good, and to say the things that we don't want to hear, and his wilingness to admit his faults and grow over the years, will assume command on September 1st. I've been grooming him, not sexually, with an eye to this for quite a while, and know that Jacob Frye will serve you well.

I'll be sticking around to help through the adjustment process, and will continue training my apprentices, in the same lines of work, but I will settle back into my role as the brotherhood's historian, computer technician and the most brilliant one among us.

...Hold your applause at THAT. Before I go, there are some changes and some things I want to push forward, much like last minute presidential pardons in the United States, I think. Most will be covered at our meeting, but....

A good number of our apprentices are ready to advance to their solo careers with us. Most of you who have been training for over two years are able to move up, unless there is some compelling reason that has you holding back. We'll talk.

I am also authorising the promotion of Dr. Simon Hathaway to apprentice, effective this December 21st, after his year of probation and guarded access is up. Controversial though his time with us has been, he's changed in his philosophies and I've found him to be sincere in his convictions for leaving the Templar Order as he's chosen to leave Abstergo, and he's proven himself many times over since his time in Assassin custody began. He'll need someone to train him, but I've been approached by one of you with an outgoing apprentice already, and we'll examine his motivations, Jacob and I, in the weeks ahead.

As to our mole, the trap is laid, and we continue on in our monitoring of the situation. As it stands, I've found keeping him doing his thing allows us to better track him, but Jacob's ideas may vary, and you may find that being changed soon.

We'll hammer out the details Monday, at our meeting, which will start at six in the evening. I'm told Ezio is cooking, Arno is bringing up some of his wine, and Aedan's picking up dessert from his stepfather's bakery, so we should be well set at least.

Who among either side of you lot can I count on?

Sherr, I wanted to address a point that you and Ms. Moore brought up ages ago, during the proposed re-structure. No one wanted to lose their apprentices, and others like the pairing up idea, so..

Jacob had a thought to work with the classes idea you and our ally had.

He thought instead of eliminating apprenticeships that along with some training classes, that the apprentices and those of you training them, could be grouped into cohort groups for training purposes. That is, you and Thea might join Ezio and Tulio at least once a week, probably more, for some specialised group training? You could arrange trips, lessons with tests, use the obstacle course, whatever it is you'd like to do with them.

I do have some proposed groupings too, based on collective apprentice experience if you might be interested.

Damien and Jacob, you want to do me a favour and keep an eye on Count Dracula for a few weeks? He might be JUST what we're looking for to add to the group and Damien...you'd be a good match if he does fit.


Sherr's organised a schedule for some classes, and Ezio maintains that MOST of our lot are doing ethics with him and Bayek. In his own words, 'all of you except for Damien, oddly enough, need it'.

Jacob's offering tailoring and Molloy's got bomb making but understandably is limiting that to those of us with actual self control.

Arno's out of work as far as assignments until July, Evie isn't going active until late Autumn and...

Mr. Potter,

You do not know me, though you do know some of my associates. I am told that you may be the key to aiding some of us with a bit of a potential problem we'll be facing in the near future. In your experience with creating and constructing magical potions, might you, by chance, have the means to break a medication down, identify its components and possibly, given the right supplies, re-create it for the future.

There are some members of my enclave taking a medication that was brought here from within our universe, and when it wears out, he may be in a bit of trouble.

Do you...

Might you be able to break down one of his tablets, identify and reconstruct it? If so, do you have an hourly fee? A salaried rate?

I'd like very much to assist my agent in continuing to stay as well as possible, so if you might be of any help at all...please do inform me?

It's around that time again. I've noticed a few potential prospects among the new arrivals here, as I may or may not have mentioned to some of you, one of whom is brand new, but nonetheless, Kenway's snatched newcomers up just like that as well.

In any case, if anyone else has anyone to add to this, let Desmond or I know.


Advancement:

Additionally, as we're moving people in, it's time to move a few of you up. Erik, come talk to me about your first potential solo mission when you've got a moment. Obviously you had the physical skill, but you've had plenty of time to learn the other ropes as well. More than time, I'd say.


Other Business:

The February Chore Chart is now posted. Take a look to find your detail for the next month. Note, we DID assign everyone the jobs that they seem to dislike most this month, as it IS shorter than usual, leap year or no. Direct complaints, etc, towards me. They will be ignored, but feel free to waste your breath...
