Our conversation of the other day has given me much food for thought. While I dare not venture to suggest that the de Chagny family need intrude upon, or burden either of you further, I would be remiss as a gentleman not to offer some sort of recompense for the actions of my family.

I know, of course, there is no repairing of the damage, but should there be medical considerations, doctors and the like who may assist in helping to set right some of the damage which might never have been wrought, I would offer financial recompense at least.

It does not change the years or what was done, and I do not consider that it shall do so, but a wrong was done, and any assistance that I might offer is the least that I may offer to you now.

If such would be of any aid arrangements might be made that no one need to know of it.
