To all Current Hogwarts Students

As this is my first term as Headmistress of Hogwarts, I would like to take a moment to remind you all of a few things, including the rules and procedures that we are meant to follow here at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

1. Curfew for all students is 9:00PM on weekdays, excepting those taking Astronomy. On weekends, curfew for all students is 11:00PM.

2. Prefects are allowed to take House points away from other students in their own house as a penalty for rule-breaking, but they are not allowed to take points from other prefects or students in other houses. Prefects can give detentions as a form of punishment. The Head Boy and Head Girl are permitted to take House points away from any student.

3. Sexual activity and intercourse is not permitted on Hogwarts grounds. Any student caught engaging in sexual activity may be expelled.

4. Swearing is punishable by a docking of house points at the least, by detention, or by suspension, depending on the offense. This includes via the written word.

5. Bullying, hate speech, blood purity, name-calling, sexual innuendos, and taunting is unacceptable. This also includes via the written word.

6. Students are permitted in the common rooms of other houses only accompanied by a member of that house and only until curfew. Female students are permitted in male dormitories accompanied by a male student, as long as the door remains open. Male students are never allowed in female dormitories.

7. All other school rules, including those that include forbidden objects as decided by Mr. Filch, can be found posted in every classroom and common room.
